HEARTFORGE - avante en garde (Session 4)
You are in the heart of a massive forge. In front of you are tools, and your objective is clear - to use them to channel the strength of your heart and create.
What are you creating? Who can say. Only you - and only you'll know if - and when, it's good enough. The stories before you are not yours right now, but you'll make them yours soon enough.
And you will survive.

Re: DISCUSSION
[ her own emotional hackles are already up as well—already protective. but there's a thread of curiosity in there too. ]
Re: DISCUSSION
[She tries to tamp down her anxious tension, since it's not like it will help anything]
Any ideas for anything other than 'misplaced pride' or 'rocks fall, everyone dies'?
Re: DISCUSSION
[ that faint "whoosh" was the sound of the ttrpg reference going over her head. tragic.
anyway, she looks over the story again, something wistful over the bond. ]
The first emotion could be wisdom, or courage, or near any virtue. But... for that second one...
Well, if I had it my way, what I'd say is: "All that matters is love."
[ a touch self-conscious, but the conviction is unmistakable anyway ]
Re: DISCUSSION
Re: DISCUSSION
[ definitely self-conscious now, though she kind of pointedly rallies.
her beliefs ARE cheesy and you WILL like it!! ]
—Love is what drives us to protect, after all. Love for our homes, our families, or simply the way of life we hold dear. If you are going to fight a war, it is the best reason. Perhaps the only one that matters at all.
Re: DISCUSSION
...We gotta have a memory to back it up, right? Or this "love" is just s'posed to come outta nowhere?
Re: DISCUSSION
[ a pause, then she not quite winks ]
Or I could tell you all about my love for avante, in great detail.
[ it's like a promise! or a threat! ]
Re: DISCUSSION
That's okay. Should prolly see what the others say.
