Nine puts all his weight into forward momentum and wrapping his fingers around Anubis throat. Is it agility to get the stranglehold or strength to squeeze? Dunno, but in any case he rolls under for whichever it is - (str 5, agi 8) 2 2 4.

[he probably should have seen this coming, and yet. his eyes go wide and disbelieving and he tries to say something that might be Nine's name, but just ends up as a choked wheeze.
his hands wrap around Nine's wrists in an attempt to tug his hands away, but most of his energy his going into kicking Nine in the kneecap.

The kick to kneecap does turn his leg which would normally not be a problem ---- but sand. It twists his ankle and he falls losing grip on Anubis' neck leaving a few pink lines on the way down. Again not normally a problem except when you have a gaping chest wound and a side wound that are jarred upon hitting the ground, jarred just enough to make minor internal bleed into major internal bleeding.
Nine coughs up a wet mouthful of blood trying to push himself back up, but looks like he used up the last of his reserves as he slumps to the ground.]
[Oh jeez ok the tone of Anubis' voice makes it sounds like something bad is happening, so Cobalt is going to reluctantly let go of Corona once he's relatively sure he's not going to do anything. He picks up the sword and knife up off the ground, though, just in case, then hustles over to Anubis.]
[ he gets to his feet and staggers forward a few steps, though he's reluctant to get too close. when anubis' heals don't do anything to help nine he smothers half his face with his hand, as if that'll stem the tears welling in his eyes. ]
[ this is too much. but, yes, kindness. somethingsomethingfriendship. he's just going to put some distance between himself and everything else. he's going to walk off and then plonk down in the sand to stare at more sand. ]
It... it was partially my fault. You had the sword, so I thought I should disarm you. I was... stupid. I thought that Nine was too injured, the he wouldn't attack again. I threw some sand, and while you were blinded, he stabbed you.
[ he just stares at anubis as he tries to process all this. some of that he remembers as described, but following being blinded he could have sworn he heard anubis whisper his name into his ear right before he stabbed him. m- maybe he misheard. or maybe the tone wasn't quite what he remembered. he scrubs his hands over his face and shakes his head. why is this all so confusing! ]
If that's the case, then I owe you an apology. I'm sorry Anubis.
[ but god only knows he needs a few minutes to himself to try to make sense of everything else. he'll give anubis a meager smile before trying to put some distance between himself and everybody else. ]
[he doesn't particularly like crying, so he's wiping at his face and taking gasping breaths in an attempt to calm down while the tears are still flowing.]
H-he... did something to Yugi-kun, I think. To his head.
[He memorized all the unit powers three weeks ago, then went over them again after the trial to look at them from a combat perspective. Achilles Radar, Eris Alert, and Hysmine Blessing shouldn't have done anything to Corona's head. Kydoimos Din maybe? But that would have affected Anubis, too, wouldn't it? The other two abilities, though...]
