...based on personal experience. I think a person's drive, goals, dreams, hopes, and everything held deep inside of them are what motivate them and make them them. It's not that I don't think the 'outside' can influence that, but I think the inside is more important.

We agree then. I don't think anyone or anything else can grant you that stuff, you have to find it for yourself.

Pretzel wants to have it mimic humans, but I think if we can teach it what it means to be humans that would be infinitely better. Mimicry can only take it so far. It needs to learn, adapt, ...not pretend.

I don't think so either. I know people like to assume that anything and everything starts blank, but... maybe it's just me, but I don't believe it. I could be wrong, but [ shrugs. ] then sue me.

It's a big question in philosophy I've read too. Do we start things unmarked or is there stuff going on inside us from the very start. I don't know if there's a real answer.

I think it's a mix of both, if I'm being honest, but we're playing a game, and we've got to make a choice, and they don't want to make it easy on us. [ he sighs. ] If I have to pick one, then I do think inside is the way to go. I just... going off personal experience, I suppose, I prefer it. Mostly its because no one thinks I'm a liar usually. [No one can think he's a liar for long, he's too earnest and sincere for that nonsense.]
