You enter the Store Room. It's kinda dusty in here, albeit nowhere near as bad as the Landing you just came from. And, honestly? Despite the name, there's not a whole lot in here. Sitting on top of three old wooden crates are three potted plants: a cactus, a tomato plant, and a short, thick blue stalk. The latter wiggles vaguely. Set into the back wall is a grand old mirror with an ornate golden frame.

The only door is the one you came through.

[ cautioning her companion, ]

Don't touch the cactus or you'll end up with spines in you.

[ She's going to inspect the mirror at the back first, personally. ]

Okay. Can I look at the wiggly plant? It seems fun. I promise I won't hurt it.

[ Very, very gently she goes over and touches the dance-y blue plant with her fingertip. ]

Oh, holy shit, the weird blue stalk just shot a wad of thick, tar-like gunk right at your eyes! If it hits, you'll find yourself blinded for five minutes, or until somebody finds some liquid or another to help you clear it off.

Ack! [ Yikes, she's been hit in the face with blue gook! ]

Uh, I think the plant didn't like that. [ She's blind, so she just. Stays where she is. ]

[ Coming back to get her. ]

This place is just full of nasty surprises, isn't it? Are you hurt?

[ Trying to wipe away the blue gunk ]

I'm okay, I just can't see. [ The wiping isn't working at all, just smearing stuff around. ]

Should you... pull me around until we find something to get it off? I won't touch anything else, honest. I'm sorry for making trouble again.

You're not in trouble. I told you not to touch the cactus, and you didn't.

[ She's going to take her by the hand. ]

It's fine. I can lead you. Just don't let go of my hand, okay?

[ Sad blind girl is sad, but it'll be okay if she's not in trouble. ]

Okay, I'll hold your hand.

Cheer up. We'll figure out how to get you to see again. --You know, I need something to call you by. Do you have anything you'd like me to call you?

A name? Hmm... Amie? I think it means 'friend' in one of the languages I know.

What about you?

Amie. Cute; that suits you. Hmmm....

[ she stops to think. there are a myriad of possibilities that come to mind, but one seems to particularly light up to her. ]

Viatrix. That feels right.

Viatrix. I like it.

[The mirror is set into the wall. While investigating the frame, you think you see a hinge...]

[ Taking her companion by the hand and then pulling the mirror so it will hopefully move on its hinge and open? ]

[Depending on how strong you are, it might take some serious elbow grease to pry this thing open.

[ Well. She's rolling a 3. Apparently being a swordswoman doesn't give you the kinds of brawn needed to open a door. Can she try again or is that said and done?]

[You're actually able to push it open little by little, it creaks and creaks and seems doable if you keep at it.

But also.

Your reflection winks … and suddenly there's a spork in your hand.]

[ WHY A SPORK THOUGH. ]

... This place just gets weirder and weirder. C'mon, help me pull this door open.

[ she'll guide her companion's hands to the mirror so they can pull together. ]

[ Heave ho! She rolls.... a 3. Blinded, her help is mediocre. ]

She's going to add her own hands to the lip of the mirror frame and PUUULLLLLL. ]

[ Okay let's pull this mirror open! GO FIGHT WIN! ]

[ Slowly, they manage to pull open the mirror. What treasure slash horrors await? ]

Little by little, it creaks open, revealing an alcove. Inside is an ornate silver key.

[ Well. Viatrix will take the key in hand. ]

We have a key now. So... we should probably go look for something to use it on.... a door or a chest or something.

Okay, great! Let's try another door, these plants don't seem friendly. And maybe there's something to wipe my face off with.
