[You squeeze through the fridge, the passage just large enough for a slender adult to crawl through without knocking over the five gallon bottle of milk or the small tub of medicinal-smelling salve, and find yourself staring at a cavernous staircase.]

It's hard to say exactly what the salve will do just from looking at it … but if you happen to smear it on an injury, you'll find that it has healing properties! It's potent enough to completely heal minor cuts and bruises, and take the edge off of anything worse.

The stairs go down. Are you descending?

You enter the Cavernous Staircase, which seems to have been hewn from the very rock itself. They're incredibly steep, and unfortunately lacking in railings. You hear a steady, incessant, unceasing, disconcertingly echoing drip drip … drip drip … drip drip … as you go down, and down, and down




and down

Until finally, after an obnoxiously long time, you come to an end.
