Hurricane makes a face, but says nothing.

Bubblegum seems surprised, then shrugs, saying, "Aaaalrighty, whatever you want!" Before she hangs up and the screen goes dead.

And there's a long moment, where nothing seems to happen at all.

And then it feels like something reaches inside you and crushes your emotions, squeezes whatever feelings you had for Requiem until it's nothing more than a speck in that sea of hatred.

And while you recognize that something has changed, well. For all you care you may as well have never known her at all.

[blinks, taking a moment to try and figure out what changed, but then shrugs and glances back to Hurricane]

Well, I should go find that True Heart or whatever. Since that's what I'm supposed to be here for.

"I mean-- sure, but..." he pauses. "What price did you pay?"

I mean, I picked soul, and it seems like something happened? But I can't really tell what it was.

He looks worried, but... shrugs a little. "Alright... where do you want to check next, then? Those two are the only major vamps I really knew of, so far..."

I dunno. There was a house back there in the cave, but it's locked.

"Maybe we need a key?"

Yeah, those usually open locked doors. But I haven't seen any keys so far.

"Maybe we can find one if we give it another look-around...? Wanna check out the city again?"

Yeah, sure. Though I might just try to break that door down if we don't find the key.

"Uh-- is that a good idea...?"

You shortly return to the city.

Hurricane stays quiet.

You find:

-Wooden stake: advantage against vampires 1x per fight. 1d6 dmg
-Old rubber chicken: it makes an awful noise.
-Used rollerblades: They kinda smell, but hey, you’re faster now. +2 AC

But no key.

Nemesis is still there, searching a bit deeper, but she gets up once you return, and Hurricane trots over to her. "--hey! You found him."

Sure did! And we killed a couple of vampires on the way. It was great.

[heading for the door]

"You did? Great--" She pauses as you continue on to the house. "Uh... what're you doing?"

"He said he wants to break down the door," Hurricane answers her, frowning. "We couldn't find the key."

Yup. This seems like a pretty obvious place to go.

'Sides, it'll be interesting to see what happens.

"I thought-- you said you wanted to help her, before," Hurricane says. "... do you think this'll help?"

I don't really care.
