Mori's heart
All at once a rainbow of bright lights feels as if it is bursting through you. It is an intense experience, but not an unpleasant one. As the colours burn through your skin, and lighting begins to spark through your veins, you feel stronger, you could take on the world right now.
Faintly in the distance, beyond the iridescent light show that overwhelms your vision, you can just about make out some silhouettes, but they’re too blurred, too indistinct and too far to tell anything about them. You can’t see them, but you know they’re welcoming you. You’re wanted here, you’re needed here, and the light is guiding you where you’re meant to go.

and the edges of your vision begin to blur. Colour slowly drains away from the machine, and behind you you can feel the eyes of the crowd, now dead silent, burning a hole in your back.

You feel an urge to play the game. You have to. There's no other choice, you can't take your eyes away from the screen, even though you don't intend to, your legs start moving closer towards it. This should be a very familiar compulsion for you.

Let’s play. ]
Re: Game room
It looked like a simple 2D arcade game, but once you begin playing it you shift into a kind of virtual reality simulator. You are now playing BUTTON MASHING.
The room is plain and unassuming, as all the rooms you will enter are. White tiles make up the floor, lighting up with HSS bronze when pressure is placed on them. There is a button in the very center of the room standing on a podium; it's slightly smaller than palm-sized.
On the far wall is a door. It is locked.
Raijuu walks in too, the white tiles lighting up in Avante's colours. The game is simple. You have to push the button before he does. Whoever pushes it last dies. The right thing to do is to race to the button. You should rush forwards and try to fight him for it. Make sure that no matter how much he struggles, he'll fall before you. You would be so good if you did that. Don't you want to go do that?
Re: Game room
She doesn’t want to make this choice again. ]
I told C that heroes have to do what is right. If I were to fight you Raijuu...it’s not the right thing to do.
[ She stands pretty firm on the decision she made the first time. Throwing a game isn’t right according to the producers, but this feels right to her. Not to fight when she shouldn’t have to spill unnecessary blood. ]
Re: Game room
Raijuu also looks very unhappy about the whole thing.
"At least do more than just forfeit, for crying out loud."
Re: Game room
You don’t deserve to be hurt by me! This whole thing is wrong! This is what the producers want us to do!
Just go, Raijuu. I’ll be okay. I’ll be fine.
[ She feels just as strongly as she did back then. ]
Re: Game room
In fact, as you reassure him it will be fine, the tips of Raijuu's fingers start to turn white, and he snaps,
"It's not fucking okay, okay?"
Re: Game room
[ Fuck the producers. She doesn’t want to press the button. She doesn’t want to hurt anyone. ]
Press the button, Raijuu.
Re: Game room
Re: Game room
So like what is happening anyways. ]
Raijuu?
Re: Game room
Re: Game room
This sucks, this sucks. The very thing they stopped. She walks to the button. It’s worse to see Raijuu this way isn’t it? She could force his hand? She could press it herself? ]
