Mori's heart
All at once a rainbow of bright lights feels as if it is bursting through you. It is an intense experience, but not an unpleasant one. As the colours burn through your skin, and lighting begins to spark through your veins, you feel stronger, you could take on the world right now.
Faintly in the distance, beyond the iridescent light show that overwhelms your vision, you can just about make out some silhouettes, but they’re too blurred, too indistinct and too far to tell anything about them. You can’t see them, but you know they’re welcoming you. You’re wanted here, you’re needed here, and the light is guiding you where you’re meant to go.

Despite how much force, and how much hatred Hurricane puts behind it, he can't slice through the protective muscles. Hurricane can't do physical damage to him, but somehow the villain feels the pain anyway and yelps, stumbling, which may make Talon's position on his arm unstable but he still manages to land a good clean blow. He may not be aiming for permanent damage, but it still hurts, and it knocks the prosthetic eye already there right out of Muscular. Gross.
Talon had better move fast though, because at this close range, it's going to be very hard to dodge Muscular grabbing for his throat.

[That's - probably nothing good. Hurricane even thinks he knows why it's nothing good. He can - he can worry about that later
he is definitely going to worry about that later, but for now at least it seems to be hurting him, and that's not nothing.][Since the blade isn't cutting, he changes the angle - comes in with the flat of the weapon instead, and slams it down hard on the elbow of the arm rushing toward Talon, trying to break the bone.]

[ He's in the middle of trying to drive an elbow into Muscular's throat when the big guy grabs for him. In light of that, it's not very likely that Talon's attack was particularly effective whether or not Hurricane manages to break that arm. ]

"Oi, kid, sit quietly, I'll kill you in a minute!"

[He throws himself backward to try and avoid the blow - hits the ground, briefly, touching down one-handed to flip to what would usually be his feet, but in this particular instance is back up into the air.]
[When he's hovering again, he slashes out with the blade, toward the tendons in the wrist that's holding Talon.]

[ He slashes blindly across Muscular's knuckles, probably cutting himself in the process, but it'll be worth it if it means he can get free. ]

Muscular can't bring up his other hand to block Hurricane, Talon already took it out, and he can't stop Talon from slashing his hand, there's no way he's keeping his hold, but what he can do is drop him and try to stamp on him while sweeping his injured arm out at Hurricane like he's swatting a fly.
These actions would be more effective if Talon had not also blinded him, you two have advantage on dodging.

[A second later, he's taking a swing with both blades at once - one at the wrist, aiming to break the bone, and the other at the temple, going for a concussion.]

He sheathes the knife again and reaches for the 2nd of his grappling guns, waiting for a moment when Hurricane's out of the line of fire to shoot it at the nearest of Muscular's legs. He doesn't even wait to recall the line this time, hoping to get a two-for-one hit in when it retracts. ]

Don't let him get back up!
[ Talon will do his best to help in that regard, darting in again and snatching up the line from his first gun, the one he hadn't had a chance to retract again. It would've made for a flimsy binding while Muscular was in one piece, but now he's hoping it'll be strong enough to tangle around the big guy's legs (as best he can with one good arm) and keep him from finding his footing again. ]

[Easier said than done, though. He has no rope, the blades won't cut, and plainly the joint breaks are a no go.]
[So, time to touch down and slam the hilt of this thing against his head, going for the knock-out blow.]

Forest is still on fire tho.

There is a child hiding nearby. I needed to take this behemoth down first. It would have been unwise to try to flee him with a civilian in tow.
[ He motions over his shoulder, in the direction he's pretty sure he last saw the kid hiding. ]
Do you know of anyone else who needs aid?
no subject
You wanna grab the kid? I can hit up evac duty.

Try to get someone to come collect this as well. He should face what he's done rather than being left to burn.

[He sketches a sloppy salute, then hops back up into the air and turns to go.]
Catch you later, dude.
no subject
[ He offers a salute right back and stoops to grab the grappling gun that isn't being used as makeshift bindings now, turning to head back for the crying child now. ]

Sorry, dude, too much to do.
We took down a big guy trashing trees over there. You don't want him extra crispy, you better go pick him up.
[He indicates the right direction, then turns as though to take off again.]

[ He stops at the edge of the brush, debating the wisdom of trying to go in after the kid with a wrecked arm. ]
What you're hiding in is essentially kindling. You cannot stay here.

The boy slowly peeks his head closer, wary, eyes still watery.
"You beat him?"
no subject
I beat him. He's been restrained, and Hurricane is going to bring the police to pick him up.
