Angel | Heart Game (pt 2)
It’s strange, isn’t it? You have fallen asleep, and yet your consciousness is awake. You’re simply floating, waiting to remember what it’s like to exist. However, as you wait, a growing fear clutches at your chest. What if you don’t remember? What if you will always be empty? What if you never find what it is that you are looking for? What if you die? You aren’t sure, but you swear that you just heard someone singing . . . the words are incomprehensible, but it makes you feel something familiar . . . a feeling that makes you feel like you’ll find what you’re looking for . . . and that everything will be alright in the end . . .
What is that feeling?
. . .
HUUUH?!
You don’t know?? Wowee . . . well, don’t worry! Since we're friends, I’ll tell you!
It’s hope, of course! !

Intro
You’re standing on a circular platform facing a stage.
It is wonderfully bright and colorful with cheerful music playing all around you. The audience is cheering though you can't see their faces, but they're waving various colored glow sticks at you, creating fanchants with your name in it. Something beeps on your person, and you can find a phone lit up with a basic profile. This information is probably important to remember!
If you walk down the path and onto the stage, you'll find that there are two ways you can go.
► On the left, you see a long corridor, enclosed and semi-dark.
► On the right, you can see what looks to be a bright light that opens up to a familiar scene of the Imeeji Hotel Doors.
Behind you is just the white light that you saw at the beginning. It seems like the rest of the stage scene just fades out as if someone didn't finish painting the canvas.
Re: Intro

he's going to the right, the imeeji doors are definitely familiar. ]

[Whatever it is, it's true that she does feel more hopeful about it, and Nemesis takes another quick glance around her before skimming over the profile. Charming dragons, huh? She'll take it. Stuffing her phone back into her tunic(?) pocket, she starts heading left, towards the hallways. Always better to go someplace they don't want you to be, right?]

Hotel Lobby
The lobby has a desk with a map behind it that shows the location of each unit's floor and stairs to the video room. There is also a guestbook that you can sign with plenty of pencils. The kitchen and dining room are blocked off by a sign that says, “Dangerous. If allowed in, will potentially poison everyone by accident. Her cooking skills are no joke!”
By the entryway into the building, there's a seating area for you to loiter in, if you don't want to be in a unit only area or in a dining space. There's only one elevator nearby and another door that leads to the outside. It seems the elevator can lead you to wherever you want to go, just like normal: All of the team rooms, and strangely, at the very top is the game tower.
Re: Hotel Lobby

The Labyrinth
No matter where you go in this area, you’ll find that there is always a ceiling above your head. There IS a sky sometimes, but it's artificial. You might see a sun or moon and there are definitely stars, but you get the feeling that they aren’t exactly real physical things that you can visit in space. Likewise, you are almost always surrounded by walls of some sort. It might take you some walking, but you'll eventually run into that wall. That feeling of confinement is definitely real.
For a moment, you can hear Angel’s voice speaking: “Memories are like getting to visit your friends for a brief moment even if they aren't here . . . and I cherish them so very much.”
You feel happy to be here. It is home.
The door opens to an old pool area encompassed by trees, shrubbery, and plants. Flowers lay in bloom atop the murky water, flowing serenely with help from the piano fountain that pours in.
This is what said piano looks like.
► The exit lies on the opposite side of the room, past the pool.

Future is Now
As one would expect of a unit named future is now, their dorm is all modern futuristic-- white with silver chrome. The furniture is all geometric shapes, as if drawn up with a very crude 3D modeling program, and all the lights are glowing cubes (that you can change the color on!). There is a sheep ottoman and also a couch. Their central table just a silver cube, with several smaller white cushion-topped cubes for chairs clustered around it. Beds in the bedroom touch only one wall, and don't touch the floor at all. Truly, the future is now.
However, there are changes around this place. All along the ceiling lie a bunch of origami, a thousand to be precise, with a bunch of different colors. One in particular seems different from all the rest, but for the rest of it, they seem fairly uniform. Plants grow along the wall and wrapping themselves around some of the chairs also. And though the light is artificial, it feels like the sun is basking down on you.
Despite the clean, slightly cold nature, that FIN is suppose to be, it is surprisingly very warm when you step in. For a moment, you can feel the rush of honest feelings overcome you.
You trust this world.
From here there are three doors:
► One seems slightly small to ward off tall people.
► One seems to be a shiny, technological lab door.
► One seems plain.

SHO (and Infinity)'S FUN LAB
Welcome to the FUN LAB. You enter through 5'10" door that slides seamlessly into the wall to be assaulted with more color than you see anywhere else in the dorm. The spacious room's floor lights up reminiscent of what you'd find in an 80's disco club, all the colors always matching the position colors of the current members of fin. Laser lights and the disco ball add to the chaos, though those can be turned off. Fog is piped in through tubes and empty beakers sitting on a wooden table bolted to the floor for that extra sciency feeling that maybe an experiment has gone wrong somewhere and the room is still smoking. There's some not empty beakers too, filled with colorful liquid that replenish themselves, but all the liquid is carbonated water with food coloring rather than anything useful for scientific experiments.
Whiteboards are set into the walls with colored pen dispensers for you to scribble scientific theories or your passwords for the last set of levels you completed on the arcade machines-- the best part of the fun lab. There's a cluster of arcade cabinets, all with retro atari games, but if you get anymore games on your phone or purchased from the shop in general you can load them into the machines.
There are a lot of plush dolls lying on individual beds, representing every Future Is Now member that they've had which is about 18 of them:
Intensity, Toaster, Two-Dub, Angel, Three, Shogun, Infinity, Bell, Duality, Dere, Makashima, Somebody Someday, Aerxes, Moreau, Shine, Erika, Silence and Song (the last two just look the same).

THE THRONE ROOM
The bowl itself has something written on it:
"You made choices that were true to you, and you stuck to them. And then you accepted the consequences with both pride and dignity. Yes, you did very well today."
There is also a giant hole in the floor for some reason, but it’s so dark, you cannot tell where it goes. You can also hear children laughing outside of the nearby window.
There are two doors up on the north wall:
► The Left door is SHINY.
► The Right door is SPARKLY.
There is also a door on the south wall:
► This door doesn’t seem friendly.
► There are also stairs that seem to be on fire a little. Hm!

A blank white room that is filled with paint, material, a phone that has a shopping list, all sorts of crafty things, you name it, it's there! It seems that this room is "under construction" though nothing has been started yet.

A whooooooole lot of sheep.
There are a ton of these everywhere. Thousands of them. Some are real sheep, some are fake sheep, some have angel wings, some have Intensity's face, you might even find one with YOUR face.
Oh. And there is one chicken.
In the distance, you can see a large hotel and also a castle covered in snow . . .

BROKEN ROOM
The walls are burned down, there are broken pieces of glass everywhere. Dust and spiderwebs line up the entire room. The ceiling collapsed some time ago, leaving debris everywhere you step (watch your feet!). It seems like there was a fireplace here, but it’s been completely frozen over. There is also a chair by the windows, the only clean thing in the entire room, with a broken hairbrush lying right in the middle of it.
There is a single portrait on the wall where you can see a small Angel with a dead expression in her eyes, and the rest of her family scribbled out with crayon.
There are plaques underneath:
“But we are not a family.”
“What counts as family versus just some guys who live in the same space?”

Execution Grounds
There is no one here except one person. It might be a familiar face:
When her eyes lock onto you, you’re suddenly pulled into a nightmare (whose nightmare is this?). The sky starts bleeding, dripping, turning the world red and screeching words ring through your ears:
"But there's no point. If you feel sad every time something bad happens, you'll never be happy. That's just how the world is, Angel. That's why you smile, even when everyone around you is suffering. No, especially when everyone around you is suffering! Especially the people who care about you. Don't you think they'd be happy to see you happy, no matter what?"
"Oh, I hate (me) her!"
“That's naive, Angel. Mm. You really haven't learned what the world is like yet, have you?”
“The world is a dangerous place♪ It looks like you're just as dangerous as any of the monsters out there, though. I guess I chose well! But...do you still think things are going to turn out okay?”
“ I don't like it. How he treats you! Or his unit. He calls you employees and I thought that was like a familiar but it's completely different. It doesn't sound like he respects you at all!”
“What makes you think I won't try to kill you again?”
“ I know I talk about how you don't understand yourself, but I...I don't understand some things about myself, either. I try to, but it hurts. So I stop thinking about it. If I'm forced to tell the truth then maybe it'll hurt less.”
“Because you're going to keep getting hurt until you stop thinking the way you do, Angel. As your friend and master it's my duty to teach you how you should be.”
“How cute do you think you'll be when you're crying? When you're begging me to stop? It's exciting to think about, isn't it?”
“But you won't be! That last game isn't going to be the worst thing they throw at us! I was so happy for you after it, but you weren't happy at all! I don't want to see you like that again!”
“I'm going to kill you, Angel.”
“Then! Then I'll just torture you! I'll keep you right on the brink of death! I'll do every horrible thing I can think of to you until you scream for me to stop, and then I'll do even more! I'll carve that lesson into every inch of your body, etch my care for you into your bones! I'll leave you bleeding and ruined and I'll nurse you back to health and I'll do it all again and again and again until you break!”
“ People don't particularly like me, Angel.”
“Angel. Angel. Angel Angel Angel! Nothing would make me happier than to do that to you. To be the one who makes you suffer until you find happiness. I'm perfectly happy about it! We can go right now. Out into the city, where no one will interrupt us♪ How could you think I wouldn't? I'm your friend, and your master. You're mine♪ Mine to teach, mine to love, mine to hurt, mine to break! Angel. Hehehe♪ You're so innocent, so naive, so trusting, so stupid! I can't wait to ruin you.”
“I know I'm different. Creepy. Disgusting. Pathetic. Everyone told me that at my last live.”
And the world returns back to the way it was.
You can try to get close to her but there is a glass wall between you and her. On the glass are two buttons:
► “Murder.”
► “Die.”
It seems there is nowhere else to go except to go all the way back to the Throne Room.
Re: Execution Grounds
She remembers being worried for Angel. She remembers calling Red creepy and gross and pathetic. But still--
(She remembers Red after that, smaller, somehow, and pathetic, though not like that--)]
[Nemesis bangs on the glass, ignoring the buttons--there's got to be a third choice, right? She wants there to be--she wills there to be, with every bit of her 8 charm, hoping that's enough, somehow,]

Intensity's Lab
Inside the room, you find something that looks like a laboratory. Like the rest of the dormitory, it's all done in white matte and silver metal. Across from the entrance, on the far wall is a singular table— a silver slab that hovers mid-air, locked in place unless the height is deliberately adjusted. A similar white slab chair also will float, seat wherever you choose to put it. Silver robot arms for holding things-- be it projects worked on or tools can be retracted or extruded from the walls. Despite how space-age the rest of it is, the tower computer that sits beside the desk seems pretty 90s, though it does come with a slick modern monitor.
Uh. But there is uh. One thing that seems different from what you might expect.
The entire room is just covered in all sorts of Intensity merchandise and objects. Toys, dolls, stands, posters, clothing, the giant golden, Intensity statue, wallpaper, playing cards, cake, you name it, it’s probably there. There are probably stuff to find underneath all of this merch, but it might require some digging to see what you can find.
On the monitor, it is currently labeled Lessons to Remember (In progress). There is a search function similar to google where you can use the keyboard to type in keywords and see what you can find, it seems.

The Game Tower
When the elevator doors open, blood pools to your feet, oh boy. It's a very terrifying sight to see.
You can see tables filled with food and fun games, you can even find origami cranes even! There's a stage where people can perform and just all sorts of decorations that seem to be similar to all of the cute, fun things that happen in Imeeji.
But there are bodyparts lying about, a medical table that has straps all over it, a giant computer, a collar, flowers, a judges podium, a button that you can press. It's all covered in blood though, just like the rest of the room.
There's peppy music playing in the background, wow!]

Or at least, you found the stage made out of colorful cardboard. You're in a bedroom where there is a cute fluffy princess bed and tons of plush toys scattered about. Posters of people dressed up in cute outfits line the wall. You can find toy instruments, also.
And most importantly, there is a VERY SMALL CHILD wiggling on the stage with a toy microphone, singing nonsense into it.]
