[It's time for a new an exciting place, right? A land of adventure and fun and excitement!

Wait? Then why does this look like Tokyo-F. Like a Tokyo-F that has seen better days.

A dark purple haze has settled over the city, thick and suffocating, oppressive and heavy. The sky above is filled with yawning teeth and blinking eyes stare back at you. Buildings lie in tatters and their remains litter the landscape.

A few proud buildings still stand tall! The most prominent one among them - THE GAME TOWER. Though it is sporting more of an evil villain castle vibe than you remember. And it certainly used to be taller and not leaking out that purple smoke filling the air. Nonetheless it stands as a beacon in the city, the focal point in the ruin around you.

A voice echos in your head. "Find the Dark Master."

Sure, but just because he's part of you doesn't mean he's going to take over and become a huge horrifying monster you have to swear fealty to at some point.

Or whatever. I'm not clear on how literal all of that was.

I told you, you summoned a giant demon. You and thief-you and some weird magician looking guy. It was like ten meters tall and it had horns and wings and... a second dragon head, and you wanted us to pledge loyalty to it.

Ah, so it was the same creature from the cannibalism game. I was curious. Taller though it seems.

[Pointing across the room.]

He wanted you to pledge loyalty to it. I'd want at least a name before going that far.

Don't you have one voice in your head telling you one thing and another voice telling you another? And no like actually crazy voices, but confused signals.

He and I are the same person, but that doesn't mean we agree on everything.

...Sometimes I'm torn between options, but then I make a decision. None of this multiple aspects locked in eternal battle stuff.

I guess this is what happens when your soul gets sealed in a magical artifact. Huh.

Though I guess be careful around Hell's wish though that shouldn't be a surprise.

I had more equip and spell cards. You must have gotten then from somewhere.

Would those have helped us kill the demon?

Yes. Extra lives. More abilities. Though summoning the demon was probably not in anyone's best interests.

What would have happened if we'd killed it?

You did kill it. The entire board was wiped clean.

Hmmmm. I wouldn't have a gaming partner anymore. I'm not foolish enough to think he'd be gone for good.

But it probably would have diminished his influence.
