[Everyone wants to run away, but somehow... most people seem to be trying to run away in the direction of the church, and you find yourself shielded by others?!
The way out of the village that you took when you first got here seems to be free of goblins. Maybe they came in through different gates-- everywhere else is chaos.]
[You suceed in getting out of the village! But then, right when you're crossing the bridge-- a lone goblin steps out of the woods, blocking your way. It's grinning (maybe that's a grin), and holding an axe.
The axe looks bloodied. The goblin looks wounded.]
Heh... You're not a Ium, but you'll do. Unarmed food... at last!]
Okami jumps on the edge of the bridge, quickly and with urgency, intending to leap over the goblin in a clean jump! However, his reflexes are still down. So he doesn't manage to jump as high as he wants. He accidentally kicks the goblin in the head instead.
[Okay! Most goblins are busy or away from here, and Okami won't run into any trouble. After a while, the road crosses the river again and then takes a sharp turn to the right.
If Okami looks up, he can see big, icy mountains blocking the horizon. There seems to be a cave up there too, but it's dark enough that it's hard to tell from here.
It's much colder here than it was back at the village, even though it's not that far away.]
[You walk, following the Rul river (that's its name!) upstream until you reach, yes, the entrance to a cave. The closer you are to it, the colder it gets. This is no longer just chilly-- soon you can see your own breathing.
(Please ignore the characters you see in the picture and imagine it's dark!). It’s not too hard to realize that this seems to be the source of the cold.
[MAYBE IF YOU WISHED HARD ENOUGH, your imagination could make a miracle happen...!
But since you're going inside like this, you'll find that there's ice everywhere and you'll have to touch the wall to know where to go since you can see nothing. The walls are covered in ice too, and since you're not wearing gloves...
Your life decreases by 5 points.
Thankfully, you manage not to slip and fall by being very careful!
[ He winces at the cold and immediately yanks his hand back. He's not great with imagination but as he's freezing his puppy butt off, he's going to make the attempt and try to picture the room slowly glowing with a radiant light that emanates from some cold-activated minerals that make up the rocks lining the cavern. He assumes it would be more of a pulsing radiance, mirroring that of those strange fish said to exist in the deepest waters of the ocean. ]
[You follow the trace of blue light, and eventually it leads you to a big circular room!
(Please ignore the characters in the picture again!) The floor in this space is covered with thick ice and there is a big skeleton with bones made of blue ice-- a dragon’s skeleton. There are assorted items and weapons all around it.
There's four other tunnels connected to this room-- one behind the skeleton’s back, one to its left, and one to its right.
There's also one lone goblin sitting on the floor standing there, with its back to Okami. It's looking at something... A sketched drawing? You can't make out what it is from here, but if you have VERY good eyes, it may seem familiar.]
