HEART GAME: REQUIEM (run 2)

You awaken in the ☆ZRAEL dorm common room. It’s dark. Darker than usual, and the reason why is immediately apparent: the lamps are all extinguished, the stars have disappeared, and the moon has shifted to new. The ocean below the glass panes of the floor is silent and still. Everything feels cold and unmoving, not unlike a painting.

She seems kind of embarrassed, grimacing and looking away. "Nothing I can't handle," she says. "They're just... y'know. Vampires."

"I mean... I'm part of her," Nemesis says. "But I'm not her her. Same goes for him-- and for Bonnie, and Bphone..."

"She did, though," Hurricane adds. "Fight them, I mean. But... just cuz stuff died for real out there doesn't mean it won't live forever in here, I guess."

"She's gonna live a long time," Hurricane says. "Probly a lot longer than any of us."

The others spin around-- Nemesis freezes up entirely and Hurricane shouts, "-- that's him! Hierophant!"

The wolf cackles, lowly, and lunches towards you, teeth bared.
