[ You have fallen onto a noisy street. After all the cold, the silence, the cacophony of city sounds blankets your ears muffles that feeling of abandonment. The street is dirty, and neon all around you advertises: Gambling! Fight pits! Come get your money's worth, restaurants, bars. They demand attention, and you could walk into any one of them.

Or, you might notice the alley ways before you enter. On the ground there's bodies: chalk outlines around those twisted at strange angles. Like crime scene photos, but you know how you got here. And if you look at the bodies too long, you can see the echo: shadows that are pale rather than darker, of missing wings upon their back.

The crowds on the street take no notice of you, or those bodies. ]

[ Normally that's soothing, but given their situation and how weary Silver looks, it just sets a worried frown on his face. ]

...We will make it back. You watch Aries, I'll watch Coyote, and we will find our way out.

We'll get out of here. We have to. I have to see Gold and the tinies and Haruto and Whisky. And I can't let you guys stay here, so there's only one outcome and that's out. Just gotta focus on how....

None of us are going to stay here. None of us should be here at all, especially you and Coyote.

No "especially". No one is more special than anyone else. "None of us should be here", that's all.

[ He would really like to argue that, but this seems like bad timing for it. Just huffs softly instead. ]

[ Well. First things first he's going to check to see if his phone is working at all and keep an eye on the surrounding bar patrons at the same time, keeping an ear out for anything that sounds vaguely useful. ]

[ Your cellphone is indeed working again!

None of the conversation sounds that useful, unless you really care about the squabbles of the junior philosophy club of the damned. The person at the dartboard is playing quietly, not talking about anything. You could talk to them, if you wanted to do some general info gathering, probably. ]

[ He's sending a simple text to let B know they haven't died.

If nothing bizarre happens with his phone after that, he's going to head over to the guy at the dartboard under the guise of watching the game. ]

[ It neither sparks nor bursts into flame.

The person is pretty decent at darts. Not great, but that's probably due to the fact they've got on eye-patch on. Pretty good for completely lacking in depth perception darts.

It's difficult to tell if this person is human or not. They're not wavering the way the others in the bar were, but you're not seeing any super obvious signs of inhumanity, either. ]

[ Prrrrobably a safe bet to try to get some info from. And easier to focus on than some of the other patrons. ]

You are not half bad at this. Are you from around here?

[ Smooth. ]

[ They turn their head away from the darts entirely, since the eye-patch does mean a fairly limited field of vision. ]

No more than you are, yeah? Don't see a lot of transplants from the lady of Delphi's pricedom around here.

We do not plan to stay long. As soon as our business here has been dealt with, we will be returning there.

[ Probably. At least, he's guessing that place must be where the idol facilities are located. Princedoms seem like the kind of place that could maintain that, right? ]

[ A little shrug and a grin: ]

Shows, doesn't it? Not that you could get me to return to that house of mirrors for anything under the sun.

[ Tilts his head, distinctly curious now. ]

Is that so? What about it do you find so distasteful?

[ He turns back to the dartboard, throwing it with more force than is necessary. It flies astray, embedding itself in the wall. ]

If I get someone after me here, probably I had it coming. All in the name, right, Vengeance? Better than having my reality rewritten just because there's some new propaganda her Lady's having them put out on the news. Life's harder here but at least I know it's mine.

[ Another dart.

This one hits center. ]

Hm... I admit I would prefer to determine my own reality, given the option, but there are some situations that are...not so easily escaped.

[ He glances at the bulls-eye, tipping his head in an approving nod. ]

I can, at least, assure you that we have no interest in you. I do not even know your name.

Yeah, I prefer we keep it that way.

[ Shakes his head. ]

Like I said, if that's the poison you've picked I'm not going to demand you order something different. No business of mine, anyway.

...What other options are there? My knowledge is, unfortunately, limited. This is my first journey out of the princedom.

[ He doesn't seem super surprised that someone from Delphi wouldn't know much about elsewhere. Answers with a wry lilt to his voice: ]

For people like me and you? This little hellhole and that one are the big two. Most of hell's not so big on humanity, regardless of what we are now.

What about television? I have heard some of the prizes offered can be—ludicrous.

That so? Haven't really been paying attention since leaving. I've been trying to give myself as clean a slate as I can manage.
