[ The elevator opens up to a room spacious enough to house the whole unit comfortably, but with no furniture to speak of except a touchscreen podium near the far wall, displaying a row of four larger-than-life mahjong tiles on a red background. On the left side of the screen is a square that says TRADE. The walls and floor of the room are nearly checkered with metal panels, out of place against the rest of the marble flooring and unremarkable off-white walls.

[takes a deep breath. ok. okokok.]
In terms of strategy, yes. After all, we can... reattach... it later. But I don't...

[just sort of staring at a fixed point as he speaks, rather than at anyone or anything in particular]
We have. Three options, I think. One: we can play to win. Two: we can try to play lower tiles to minimize the damage, and, uh, hope that the other units choose the same strategy. Three: we can... not play.

[ opening his mouth to protest at first, before closing his mouth. then, he speaks again, slowly ]
. . . Mathematically, so long as we're in the higher bracket it would work the best. Anything that is . . . mm . . .
Anything higher than a five will give us a higher likelihood of being accepted than not.

[ i mean it's dantalion so ]
I think . . . it is possible to choose a tile that will grant us protection without accidentally overcompensating. . .
Re: Round 1 Discussion
... tsk. [ he feels scolded but. he's too freaked out to back down ] That's assuming no one else just decides to go with their highest piece.
Re: Round 1 Discussion
. . . No, one in eight. Every tile but the 9 point tile will affect only one person, but the 9 point tile will affect an entire unit. I doubt - I very much doubt that anyone will choose that tile.
Re: Round 1 Discussion
[ Yeah his eyes are glazing over, Lucy. ]
Why do you doubt that? [ shooting straight to the questioning the morals of the other units part ]
