[Suddenly, you hear the wailing of a horn. Outside, tension is turning to panic. You can't see anything, but you can hear people gathering up their things, sobbing in fear or speaking in harsh whispers. A lone voice calls from the distance:

The enemy approaches!

Upon the map, an unfamiliar geography appears -- several small nations, clustered together. Outside of them, an endless sea of enemy forces, identified only by a symbol of a cracked skull. Each of the small nations is marked with a flag in one unit's colour, and a tiny model of a castle.

You are at war. How will you protect your people and yourself?

Hnnn... D'you think people would risk sending out gifts in round one? Hard for me to predict the thought process of a bleeding heart.

Dunno who they'd send it to, though. If I had to guess—if someone's point total gets real low, that's when the gifts will start coming in.

They won't send gifts in later rounds, I'm sure of it. If anything they'll do it now while everyone's on equal ground and play harder later.

Either to Pep or Sensitiv. Maybe Avante, if Hurricane gets lucky, but I doubt it. Potentially to us if they felt safe enough doing it but we won't be their first or second choice.

Yeah. If Mars, Hurricane, King, and Primrose are there, they'd want to protect us but only if they didn't have to sacrifice anyone else to do so.

I'm pretty sure, anyway. Pep and Sensitiv are definitely gonna come first to them though because of Hiryuu and King.

And they might avoid stealing from us, but I doubt they'd actually gift us. They'd probably assume we could handle it.

You're right... I don't think people will send gifts until they feel like they're safe and someone looks like they're in trouble, anyway. We can think about that later.
