We are hardly getting a better profession than "coal miner" dressed as we are. I scarcely imagine we would be allowed to sit for the interview!

It is impossible to budget for all these so-called necessities, at any rate.

Did you read the rules? Our winnings are determined by our levels of happiness, and I am certainly not going to crack a single smile so long as this is how I am clothed.

Then outside of dressing the part for a better chance at something else, what should we place emphasis on? At the very least we definitely need food.

. . . . . . . . . . . .Unless it doesn't consider my own dietary needs? Though not eating regular food would be pretty miserable. And if I was nibbling on...family members you'd need lots of food anyway.

I dislike eating, and you know that well. Supposing we do not take your rations into account, we can take the budget down by one-third. I eat perhaps half of what we are provided in a day, so I will half my own. I will ask our... newest member, whose name I have not yet asked for, if he would like all of his rations or not. It, at the very least, allows us to take our budget for food down to 450.

All right, then we shall lower it slightly further. 400 points will be allocated to food. This leaves us with 1100 points to spend, after we have paid our taxes.

A-Alright. So we've lowered our food budget. What next? We don't need a huge house or anything. If we can fake it for a month we can get something nicer and maybe make more in the next month.
