You're wearing raggedy versions of your clothes, and a newspaper informs you that you are currently in %COUNTRYNAME%, in the year %CONTEMPORARY%. The newspaper is otherwise actually fairly unhelpful, aside from something detailing a recent high-profile murder having been solved: despite confusion on the part of the authorities conducting the initial investigation, it turns out the victim had been tragically murdered via gun in the knife.

While working in the mines, you hear the sound of rushing water on the other side of one of the cavern walls. It seems distant. Do you attempt to use dynamite to break through?

If there's water on the other side, it's obvious what would happen if we blew up the wall.

The distance may indicate there's another cavern that we would be connecting to. In this case, ought we not tell the foreman and have other workers allocated there to make the breakthrough?

I don't know anything about mining either. Why would we want to break through it? We're not mining for water, right...?

I believe it indicates the presence of another cavern that may be mined, but honestly, I do not see why that ought to matter to us. I do not believe we would be paid extra for the discovery, so there is no need to take the risk.

I don't really care one way or the other. I'd rather that we get another job, I doubt we'd get a raise for anything either.
