[ Everything fades to black...and you awaken in a run-down one-room shack, with the distinct feeling that the people around you are your family, if you didn't already have such a bond with them.

You're wearing raggedy versions of your clothes, and a newspaper informs you that you are currently in %COUNTRYNAME%, in the year %CONTEMPORARY%. The newspaper is otherwise actually fairly unhelpful, aside from something detailing a recent high-profile murder having been solved: despite confusion on the part of the authorities conducting the initial investigation, it turns out the victim had been tragically murdered via gun in the knife.

What do we do 'bout the rats and stuff? Can we get like, poison for them? I guess the dynamite doesn't matter much which we do right...? Long fuse prolly gives us more time not to get blown up.

I dunno anything about dynamite so I'll trust you on that. As for the rats, can't we just set traps for them or something? This place is so tiny that they can't have a lot of places to hide.

And stealing... we should only do that if we decide to pay the taxes, I think. Wouldn't wanna risk getting into trouble with the authorities.

Are we throwing double birds to the government and skipping tax day, then? Or nah?

I dunno nothin' about dynamite either, I'm just guessing. But sure... you handle the rats, I'll handle the boombooms.

Nice. So we're gonna get food and medicine, probably for the rabies you're gonna get trying to trap rats, books... we should prolly get clothes.

So that'll be 1500, and we get 300 to save.

Should we spend some of it on housing so this shack doesn't totally fall apart? Though if it does, we won't need to worry about the rats anymore.

Can we adjust stuff...? Maybe we can do like... 800 on house, 200 on meds, 50 on clothes and 100 on books. And just eat rats instead of buying food, if we're trapping and not poisoning.

That'll bring it down to 1150, even.
