GM Game: pep!pep!

[ The door shuts behind you, leaving you in a copy of this room. Upon one of the fancy tables is your card for the round, along with slots for each unit for you to go slide in your choices.

You can come and go as you will, but once you have left the room, you cannot speak of anything that transpires within: not your choices, not your discussion, not your alliances.

Do your best, idol-tachi. ]

I think we're actually in a pretty ideal place for points, frankly. I guess I could always be surprised, but I don't expect the entire community will body-slam us this round. Even if they do, we have enough points to soak up even a murder card, Astrals forbid.

We have some good cards this round, too.

Hm. Which card do we want to choose then? I'd prefer something least likely to hurt someone if we can avoid it.

[She knows they would agree.]

"Insatiable hunger" and "heavy fatigue" are both pretty alright. We could probably get away with playing just one of them, depending if we want to gain two points or four.

We should probably get as many as we can as a buffer, just in case.

I'd pick the 4-pointer over the 2--rather be tired than hungry. Might depend who we decide ta hit though.

Stayin' around the 20s range'll keep us in the low-risk zone 'n also be enough that it'd have ta be multiple teams givin' us a pretty decent tap ta put us inta debt. So far we've got four attempted hits the first round, one time in the second, then twice the last round, so I think Cobalt-san's been right about flying low workin' in our favor.

Not sure who we use our card on though... Sensitiv shot right up, last round, huh?

They sure did. These games typically have an odd number of rounds so I wonder if they thought the game was ending and decided to go for a victory.

Or maybe they're hoping people will target them because they can can turn off their own pain...? Though I guess they'd be giving themselves more injuries to fix in the process so maybe not.

Who knows. I can't tell.

I cannot predict them, either. They have always been increasing, never falling back. I imagine people are frightened to choose them and leave us all without any means to heal ourselves . . .

Speaking of the final round, is it possible that the units who are leading will attempt to target one another in order to remove someone who could take their win from them? We should be mindful of those with higher point values.

If Taisho is one of the leading groups, then I don't think they'll target us. Likewise, I don't know that I feel comfortable targeting them, but our card choices - should we avoid serious injury - are tame so it shouldn't matter.

[For one thing, both her parents are on that unit. She's pretty sure they would have words.]

I can't predict what will happen, though.

Oh yeah, good call.

[looking at the scores and rubbing his chin]

Since 10IV is catching up, I have a feeling they might be the next unit to get dunked on, so I'd rather not hit them, if that's okay.

☆ZRAEL and BARiTONES have already gotten hammered and they haven't been coming to the live to get their injuries treated, so I'd rather not give them yet more to deal with right now. Also, I think they have the most to get out of a full-heal so they'll probably go for it at some point; no need to try and slow them down.

Are there any units you guys would like to avoid?

If we could, I would like to avoid harming Taisho, for personal reasons. If we use one of the cards that don't cause injury and have to choose them, I would be fine with that. I refuse to hurt them.

That's fine. We don't have any need to hurt anybody at all.

That leaves the question of who to pick, though.

Let's see...

Avante is in a comfortable spot, but that also puts them at risk of others thinking they look comfortable, too.

AlcheME is a decent pick, since they have a lot of points and are clearly working on gaining more... though they did get hit with a murder card so I would be inclined to try and cut them some slack, if it's all the same to everyone else.

Future is Now is one of the leading units, so maybe not ideal because others might go for them, too. But they seem to be holding pretty steady, and I haven't been seeing them needing healing, so maybe they're doing alright? They should have enough points to soak it, even if they get hit by more units than us...

I hate the idea of just picking someone... but maybe Future is Now will be okay? Like you said, they're one of the leading units.
