[ Ruby's tail whips at that, a short growl leaving the corner of their mouth. ]

Hey, Tenten. Eichi.

[ hey did you wanna get vibe checked today too bad because Ruby's dashing torward to fucking smack him in the face with their tail ]

[That probably worked better for Rossiu than it'll work for Eichi.

He gets hit hard in the face, staggering and falling over, hitting the ground hard. Eichi doesn't yell or fight, but it takes longer than it should for him to get up. He holds his left shoulder once he's standing, trying to hide the blood from an injury he hadn't told anyone about as he glares at Ruby.

But fine. He know where he stands now, and he's not locked here, so instead of fighting or arguing, he just turns on his heel and heads for the door.]

[ There's a snarl before Eichi even stands up - not at him, not exactly. Ruby's angry, frustrated, and most importantly, keyed up on the bloodlust from having to deal with Crown's wound. The snarl is at the prospect of there being something at their feet they could easily mark and tear apart and drink and eat and by the time any lucidity at all returns Eichi's already getting off the ground and leaving, and - ]

Oh no you do --

[ Eichi will feel the briefest, weakest "tug", as if he was stuck midstep for just a fraction of a second, and then...nothing. Ruby blinks once, twice, and then growls in inward frustration, back to being aware enough to know something like that is too far. Nausea starts to set in as the bloodlust comedown kicks in, and a hand moves to cover the cracking that's been spreading across Ruby's face since Eichi went down. ]

Don't you -- don't you dare, you coward! You made a mistake, don't run away from it! Don't run away from her, you spoiled brat!

[syckophant]

[He feels the tug and ignore it until Ruby speaks. He bites on his lower lip, drawing blood with his sharp teeth and doing nothing to stop it, then just swinging back with his uninjured arm, a quick snap to slap Ruby across the face.]

[ anyways Ruby just half laughs and half growls and it sounds pretty significantly unhinged and manic and also is about all the warning Eichi gets before being tackled to the ground by a snarling beast trying to tear out his throat with its teeth that just happens to be shaped like a very cute girl

we're having fun. this is a fun time for the unit. ]

[ Absinthe is finally stepping over and just, bending to try to loop his arms around Ruby's waist, pulling them off Eichi. ]

Ruby's successfully pulled though and is now occupied with trying to pull back towards Eichi and also pry Absinthe's hands off ]

[Eichi just pushes himself up again, even slower than before. His left arm isn't really helping at all, and he avoids putting any weight on it. After that, he just dusts himself off.]

If I have a weapon on me, I will cut you down the next time you touch me.

[ Absinthe shifts his grip - - one arm holding Ruby tight, the other reaching down to grab for the middle of their tail, keeping it still. it does take a lot of effort, practically having to curl himself over them.

to Ruby, he speaks - - ]

Come now. You can claw me bloody later if it improves your mood any, but our dear emperor deserves more leeway than you are affording him.
