[ The room is BRIGHT YELLOW, as all the rooms you will enter are. Black tiles make up the floor, changing to your unit's color when pressure is placed on them. There is a button in the very center of the room standing on a podium; it's slightly smaller than palm-sized.]

Hallucinations - Tatsuya, cw mirrors, do we cw for mirrors? cw mirrors
Your footfalls echo behind you as they fall, one after an endless another. Ahead of you and behind you lie the same things, but your aching legs continue to carry your aching body, down the mirrored hall in endless uneven staccato.
There is nowhere else to look but at the mirrors around you. This is the least you can do. This is the only thing you can do. So you see in each one, the bodies of your friends in the reflections. Slamming your hands against them hasn't done any good, but you owed it to them to try and reach them, even if it's too late. Even if it's useless. Even if nothing will change. You can move forward, it's all you can do. Even if you no longer have it in you to run.
(You tried. You were so desperate, your lungs burning, as you ran ahead to see if there was a way in, a way out, a way to change anything—)
You walk.
Blood leaks from the torn flesh of your hand, brutalized from how you slammed them into the mirrors during your desperate attempts at smashing them. Before you learned better, first you broke the skin over your knuckles, battering them in what you were dumb enough to think would be an endless assault. You'd never give up on them, even if your bones broke, your fingers splintered, and your hands were left in ruins.
As it turns out, you did give up.
You don't have it in you to hope anymore that you'll get in. If you slam yourself against the mirrored walls any more than this, you won't be able to even walk forward.
So, you walk.
You hope, eventually, there will be an end. You were selfish enough to give up on them, but too selfish to give up on this one hope— that at least you won't have to face this and see them anymore.
