You watch her cry. It was your fault after all, but you can’t help it. You have an image to maintain and Camellia was in your way. Look at this crybaby though, how could this weakling ever manage to do anything? Yeah, she’s cute, she’s got that going on for. She is also kind and pure of heart. Though a little clumsy, she has an air of grace that seems to attract everyone around her.

She’s everything you’re not. So of course you were gonna bully her until she cried.

But the others saw what you did. They all saw that nasty side of you and are now staring straight at you. You gulp and feel the beads of sweat start to form on your forehead. Of course they weren’t going to take your side over hers. That’s simply natural! Even you would pick her side over yours, wouldn’t you?

Someone drags you by your hair and throws you onto the ground, and you begin to cry. You didn’t want to, but all of those nasty bubbling feelings deep with in are finally pouring out. You’re cute, too! You’re really smart, too! Why won’t anyone [she] notice me?

But the crowd dissipates as Camellia grabs a hold of your hand. For a moment, there was a glance of hesitation. There was something stirring in your heart

But as the plant life grows around her, around her arms around her neck, tightening its grip until you can’t breathe, you realize Camellia is smiling at you.

She’s everything you’re not.

Even you would pick her side over yours, wouldn’t you?

You can feel the snap around your wrists, pain flowing through you before you finally black out.

The heat against your face is unbearable.

You open your eyes to see yourself being surrounded by fire. You stare at the stained glass looking down at you. The face of God seems so peaceful despite all of the screaming and crying around you. It’s so noisy…

You’re inside of a church where everyone is stuck together thanks to the barriers made by the ceiling that has begun to cave in. It isn’t hard for you to escape, but the others are way more at a disadvantage than you. You could save them, but you could leave.

Of course, you end up helping them out, but as you let the people go, they shove you onto the ground, trampling over you. Ribs crack under the pressure and you certainly feel an arm being snapped. Someone even trips over you, their weight helping to crush your bones until they all snap. And of course, the fire is burning at your skin.

You should have known, they would betray you.

And thus you pray. Pray to the devil to make sure they do not escape. In this holy building, all you could feel was wrath and anger for there was nothing holy about those who treated you the way they do. And once you seal the contract, it is done.

Fire spews out from their insides as you watch them burn, inside out. Charred bodies collapse onto the ground, leaving you to escape the building on your own, clutching at your chest as you do so.

Whoops, you sure did kill absolutely fucking everybody, but they deserved it right?

You think about the image of the stained glass window, and the look in their eyes.

You stand in the dark as arms wrap around you. They’re warm. You laugh.

This isn’t real because there is no one who would hold you. Though you still can’t help but recall a face in the back of your mind, and for this, you laugh again. What a foolish man! Or perhaps, it would be more fitting to say, “what a foolish demon”. You threw out your humanity a long time ago when you decided to wipe out everyone for your own selfish desires.

You can hear the sound of flesh rotting. Ahhh, that’s a familiar sound isn’t it? Bubbling ooze, dripping, and the arms around you fall off, but it doesn’t take long for another pair of arms reach to hold you with care. But they eventually fall too. You laugh again because you just can’t imagine why so many people attempt to reach you. You’re too far gone to be saved, haven’t they realized that?

The world lights up and you are standing on a mountain of limbs. You sit on your throne.

Your arms slowly start to melt, flesh deteriorating until the bone underneath is exposed. Your ribs begin to crack, unable to support the lack of soul within. After all, what good is a body with no soul? Everything burns and everything hurts, but you don’t even notice it anymore. You lived with this pain for thousands of years.

Another pair of arms reach around you, and you feel your fists tighten this time. The smell of winter surrounds you now. It makes you sick.

You saved these people. You saved them all. You remember now, you made them, and then you killed them because they couldn’t kill you. How many more years must you wait? You scowl in disgust thinking about it as your eye begins to rot out of your skull.

Despite the wretched scent of rot, the smell of winter won’t leave you.

The spotlight shines on you [as it should have done a long time ago.]

The audience watches with grand excitement as you hit the stage with a grand entrance. The great detective will catch those thieves and punish them in the name of the law! The world will be safe once again! The cheers are almost deafening as A chases those evil phantom thieves across the stage, pointy sword in hand. It seems so silly at first glance, but the brilliant light that sparkles off of A’s uniform and illuminates the world around, it’s truly entrancing.

And A plays a great lead with his charismatic charm. Indeed, it seems natural for him to be a hero.

He catches one of the thieves and pins them down, a fox mask covering their face. He sets his sword gently aside and takes out a gun. And he shoots a bullet right through the mask. Again. And again. And again. And again. And again.

And the audience cheers. They see a hero that defeated a villain, but you know better.

You are a weakling who could never measure up to those around you so you simply had to get rid of those above you.

But as you grin, the leader of the thieves tackles you down. You expected this, too. You were always going to disappoint him because you knew you were never good enough. You knew he always looked down on you. He certainly doesn’t respect you. No, it’s just pity.

Because even now, he can’t even bother to kill you. He just gets up and leaves you on the ground. Ah yes, finally. Finally! You’ve been rejected as you’ve been expecting all this time.

Crows land around you, but you can’t get up. The first thing to happen is them pecking out your eyes. And then at your ears, ripping them apart by pieces. They even manage to peck through your clothes until they get into your insides.

But you laugh because see! You were right! You were right all along! They were always going to reject you! You laugh as a crow reaches to take out your tongue.

And the audience continues to cheer...
