Your sleep is restless, and it's hard to settle as your eyelids refusing to stop twitching, and you can feel an itch at the back of your mind, flashes of uncomfortable thoughts dipping in and out of your dreams, constantly interrupting your tries to relax. ... Are you even asleep?

Apparently you were, because you wake up with a start, cheek pressed uncomfortably to steel flooring and flickering lights overhead. Unfortunately, you don't feel very rested at all.

[he looks up at her]

Are you sure? I don't want to disturb it...

How about we let her sleep for a little bit longer...
she's had a rough afternoon.

But you, are you alright? [ she looks him over. ]

[He tilts his head.]

I'm fine.

[He's got bandages on his left arm and his left leg. They look a little crude, as if he did them himself.]

Fine, huh, ...

Then just what happened here? [ points to the bandages. ]

A-ah...

[He looks away, face gloom, embarrassed.]

I... burned myself. With my own quirk...

Hey now. [ she reaches for his cheek, turning it back toward her. ] You're still learning, yeah?

Back home I fly a real big version of this thing, here, [ she motions to the mini mech. ] and I definitely crashed a burned a lot before I got the hang of it.

I don't want to train... But father gets mad if I don't do well.

So what do you want to do?

Maybe we can sneak in something fun before you have to practice some more.

[He suddenly looks a little fearful.]

No. That's a bad idea.

[ oh no. ]

...alright, then training first? And I can bandage you up afterward. Does that sound better?

I don't... you're not father. I can't train with you.

[ his father sounds like a bit of a jerk... ]

Let me at least fix those bandages then. c'Mere kiddo.

[his father is a flaming asshole of a trashcan]

...ah... you would?

[ she wants to punch his dad in the mcfucken face and she hasn't even met him. ]

a'Course!

[ she's in this so she shrugs the jacket off. ] Now, get ready for something cool. [ she shows him that she's got nothing in her hands, and then she sets her hands over her heart and pulls out her heart weapon. ] Ta-da~~~! [ chuckles, and then starts slicing up her coat to make some mock bandages. ]

[You'd have to get in line for that.

Duality watches her work on that, though he doesn't look as impressed as she might expect him to, but he waits patiently as he watches.]

[ it'd be worth the wait. ]

[ aw, c'mon, it's super impressive! ]

[ as soon as she's finished slicing her coat up she's going to hold her hand out for his. ] Let's start here.

[He's seen quirks, he's well aware of supernatural powers.]

[He holds his hand out...]

[ she removes the bandages that he had put on his burns and casts them aside, giving his wounds a once over. she wishes she had something to help soothe them, but she doesn't. damn. perhaps if she does a bit more exploring she'll come across something, so she'll be sure not to use all her "bandage" materials. she takes care in wrapping his arm, making sure it's tight, but not overly so. ]

And there. [ she drops a kiss on it. ] How's that?

[The burns are ugly, but he doesn't flinch as she works.]

...Thank you. I'm not good at bandages yet...

It can be a bit hard when you've got to bandage yourself up, but I can show you how, if you like. I get banged up pretty often, though... it's usually my own fault. [ takes her tone down a notch, ] Some say I'm pretty reckless.

Anyway! time for that leg of yours. [ she's going to scoop him up and set him atop the mech, crouching down afterward so she can rinse & repeat; removing the old bandages to then put on the new ones. ]

[he let's her work, doesn't kick his legs or otherwise.

[ she had been hoping he wouldn't notice. ]

I... am, yeah. [ she looks at a few of the burns she's got. ] Do you want to try bandaging me up? I could use a stellar doc like yourself.

Mine are bad, though...

I can teach you as we go. [ hands him a couple of 'bandages'. ]
