Heart Game: Hurricane - Run 2
[At first, all is still; all is silent.]
[The only light is the light from your phone, where a checklist has taken over the screen. It reads:]
___ Make a change
___ Repair something
___ Protect something
___ Find the True Heart
___ Survive
[Then the light comes up, bright, and then brighter, and you are in…]

I want to... to clean up, and replace these plates, and set everything up properly. But if we do that, that's just putting a bandaid on the issue. If we just clean it up without actually working through the problems that caused it in the first place, won't it all fall apart again?
These are problems my unit has to fix together.

Neeheehee! You're really the most grounded hero I know.
[he's setting up Prim and Mars's dolls]
Hmm, I get you. Well then, why don't we set the stage for it then? Right now, it looks like he thinks it might be too late. So we don't clear the path, but we give him an opening instead.
Plus, I really hate cleaning up messes like this, you should see my room.

I won't force you into a cleaning frenzy then. But we can leave the tools out for him.
[Mori puts Hurricane's doll down, sitting up, and put's his own little Mori doll sitting next to him. He poses them so he's extending a hand to Hurricane, then has all the rest sitting up.
Then he goes looking for some tape, not to fix the plates together, but just to leave them next to the plates so the possibility is there.
After that he's going to go look at the picture that's fallen and broken.]

[As soon as your fingertips brush the wood of the frame, a wave of feeling washes through you, so sudden and intense that it takes your breath away. It starts sweet and low, a warm glow somewhere deep in your chest - a sense of belonging, of contentment.]
[It doesn't last. It twists, and lurches sideways, a shock that feels like missing a step in the dark, on a staircase you thought you knew well. There's a hole, suddenly, where all that warmth used to be, and other things rush in to fill it: shame, and a bone-deep disappointment in yourself, and the aching certainty that of course you'd gotten it wrong.]
[Of course you had.]

Resisting the urge to just start tearing up, scrubbing at his face. Mori clears the shards away from the frame and sets it down, smoothing out the photo. He leaves the shards on the floor. It's broken and clearing those away won't fix it. But that shouldn't still tarnish those memories.]
I miss them a lot too. Those early days, the five of us, it felt like no matter what happened we could take it on together.
But what happened wasn't any of our fault. We're going to get them back Hurricane-kun. And we can still make something good with our teammates now. You still belong with us. You belong with me.

Hurricane-kun, I have to go. I'm going to fight for you. Let's talk about this when you're awake, okay? I know you hate talking about things like this, and it's okay if you're not ready yet, but, I'd like to at least try.
I love you. I'll see you soon.
[OFF THEY GO]

after a beat, he'll take a piece of a broken plate and put it behind Hurricane. He's doodled a little face on it. It's okay to let your mask break every now and again.
But that's all he'll add]

-We need to get to the roof now!

Then we better move.
