Heart Game: Intensity (Turn 5)

In the beginning, there is nothing but darkness and silence. A sleep that gives no rest but one out of necessity in order to keep functioning. Behind closed eyelids, the numbers of a clock tick down - one painstaking second at a time.

And then you wake up.

As you shift to a standing position, you feel something sharp and pointed press against your side. Digging into the nearest pocket, you will find two small puzzle pieces. And from their odd shape, it looks like they would fit into a 3D spherical puzzle. Odd. You've never seen them before, but you do get a sense that these are a currency of some sort. Spend them wisely!

[ As she sets down the last piece. ] You still seem a bit distracted.

[looking at the board properly]

You wanted to play. We'll play.

I just want to spend time with you. It doesn't really matter what we do. I just thought that since you liked games...

Then I'll go first. [ And guess what? She's pretty good. So Seto better not pull his punches. ]

His head finally clears somewhat over the course of the game as he has to focus on strategy to beat her, and by the time he makes the winning move he has a smirk on his face.]

[ She has a hand to her chin as she's considering the board thoughtfully. ] Hmmmm. It looks like I still need some more practice. Congratulations, Seto-sama.

[looking around the garden as if he's finally recognizing that they are currently in an environment with things other than her in it]

Oh yes. He gave me this space to do whatever I wanted with it. Do you like it?

[bluescreenwhitedragon]

I'm glad you think so. But what do you think? Does all of this --- [ And she gestures around at the palace. ] Still suit you?

[ She reaches over to pat the back of his hand ] You have time to find out now.

[He turns his hand to catch hers.]

I'd rather find out with you.

Seto-sama... I can't be there with you right now. Physically. But I'm always with you. I'm always watching. But this next step--- even though you have to take it on your own, you're not alone.
