"Once our purpose is served, we are meant to fall apart. However, the nurse continues trying to put the other Echos together again and defies our Master's intention."
She goes to speak--but all too quickly you see several thin shadows reach around her and snap her into pieces like a toy. Think of Pride's spindly little arms from FMA, really. There's no blood, for she seemed to be made of of porcelain, but she and her limbs are now splayed across the floor.
The other maids QUICKLY make to leave, like, fuck that--and a laugh around you rings out.
"Haha! You already said that! I heard you, before you fled the Baskervilles, very poorly might I add."
The voice doesn't seem to be coming from anywhere in particular, and it seems to come from everywhere... though most strongly from any shadow in this room.
"I treated you to a near-perfect replication of a memory from my past, with FRONT ROW SEATS! No other child of yours has given you front row tickets to trauma!"
"Pfft, right, you have a sister. Well, if you remembered her getting engaged, that means she's probably gotten a bunch of kids of her own by now, too."
A shadow picks up a fragment of the maid's hand, and holds it out to you.
"Take this hand if you want to see your daughters!"
"Back then we thought she was the Chain--the actual monster I formed a Contract with--but it turns out she's just some personality that's born to disappear. Why, you could have a new daughter next week! Maybe even after you leave~"

Re: Servant's Quarters
The Silence maid with the low pigtails steps forward--on the front of her shirt is a badge reading [Echo the 348th.]
"...we are all replaceable. Including you, I imagine."
You can see it now--all of the maids have these badges that read with Echo the 189th, Echo the 433rd, and so forth.

"...you are probably like the nurse who runs the Trauma Center, then. We had hoped to avoid mentioning her."

She sighs.
"It is reckless."

Doesn't take long.

"Wait a second, hold on--have you SEEN her predecessors? Do you know how many daughters you ACTUALLY have??"

Re: Servant's Quarters
The memory's ending is odd in that it's abrupt and registers like a torn film reel, as if there's SUPPOSED to be more to it than that.

I don't think it'll work that way.
Silence wouldn't leave me alone that long.
