The newspaper is otherwise actually fairly unhelpful, aside from something detailing the results of a recent attempt at revolt in a city in %COUNTRYNAME%: worker’s success at managing a nearby gold mine led to dreams of every man being a king - the revolutionaries may have been successful had it not been for a concurrent jailbreak and mass slaughter putting local authorities on alert, buying time for military intervention - the town was nearly levelled to the ground, with few survivors.

But you seem to remember - you survived, didn’t you?

We don't have to downvote carelessly.

I really don't give a shit what other people think about our decisions. If they get pissed off, then they can get pissed off. What I care about is this unit, and what this unit believes is best for us.

I agree, honestly. I would just rather spare our unit from getting screamed at, but let's try to keep ourselves afloat, at least for our own sake. We saw what happened when we did jack shit. Everybody was firing off downvotes like it was going out of fucken style.

Seems like everyone on the unit is in agreement to play to save ourselves, so. . .

... I think maybe, given the range of opinions and feelings of the people on our own unit, that downvoting carefully might be our best strategy--in terms of living with our choices afterward and not having to deal with the stress of angry people coming after us later. I'm not sure that will be enough to turn it around, ultimately, but--

We've had moments where we thought it was impossible to turn things around, and we'd surely lose, and didn't. It's too soon to entirely count ourselves out.
