Heart Soldier Senshi
[ Everything fades to black...and you awaken in a car.
You're wearing a time-worn, windblown version of your uniforms, and a newspaper informs you that you are currently in %COUNTRYNAME% in the year %CONTEMPORARY%+1. The newspaper is otherwise actually fairly unhelpful, aside from something detailing the results of a recent attempt at revolt in a city in %COUNTRYNAME%: worker’s success at managing a nearby gold mine led to dreams of every man being a king - the revolutionaries may have been successful had it not been for a concurrent jailbreak and mass slaughter putting local authorities on alert, buying time for military intervention - the town was nearly levelled to the ground, with few survivors.
But you seem to remember - you survived, didn’t you?
...Also, below the main headline about the failed revolution, there's something about Those Who Crave Hands? Huh.
Anyways, you've got marketing to do! ]

Re: DISCUSSION
They froze you?
Re: DISCUSSION
[AND HE'S A MODEL IN THE NEXT ROUND SO LIKE. . .]
I was lying in the trash can for what felt like hours. I couldn't move. Couldn't speak. Everything was covered in ice.
[. . .]
More fucking. . . time perception shenanigans.
[obviously it wasn't really hours but it sure did feel like it]
Re: DISCUSSION
Giving his shoulder a squeeze ]
You've been in for two rounds now. There's no reason for you to go up again in the next one.
Re: DISCUSSION
[wrinkles his nose, chin tilted up, eyes flashing with some kind of determined, rebellious fire]
. . . I can take it. I ain't afraid of anything they throw at me.
[EVEN TIME SHENANIGANS AND GARBAGE BINS AND FROSTBITE]
Re: DISCUSSION
I'll fight you over it after we see how this current round pans out.
In the meantime -- we're going to need to downvote if we want to pull out of this.
Re: DISCUSSION
[. . .]
Ooooor we could stay the course and just eat shit. That's an option too, if downvoting aggressively is too rutheless.
[though personally he doesn't care about downvoting either way]
Re: DISCUSSION
I can think of quite a few people who'd be angry if we gave up.
I vote we downvote anything we don't think we recognize.
Re: DISCUSSION
That one might be Shrike, and Avante could use the help.
Re: DISCUSSION
Of course.
Re: DISCUSSION
Re: DISCUSSION
Can I change my mind?
[Points to "Kind, thoughtful, a steel magnolia blossoming in the snow. Lover of quiet moments by your side, with a book and a cup of tea. Ready to defend with a kind gesture or a blade. Let her into your heart, and watch her benchpress a truck."]
Re: DISCUSSION
. . . I can see that. It does fit.
Re: DISCUSSION
Re: DISCUSSION
Re: DISCUSSION
Do you see anything suspicious?
Re: DISCUSSION
Nothing that's jumping out at me... The one I thought was Be-kun last time probably wasn't, he wouldn't waste two messages on a plan that wasn't working.
Re: DISCUSSION
Re: DISCUSSION
Re: DISCUSSION
Re: DISCUSSION
I don't care what they think. I care what this unit believes is best for us.
[be that fighting to not be tortured by downvoting aggressively or continuing to stay the course where they try their best to help out their friends]
I'm not opposed to that plan, though.
Re: DISCUSSION
It's about not hurting the people who care about us. Because they will be hurt.
Re: DISCUSSION
[once you accept that, you just. . . sort of get numb]
[so. . .]
So in my mind, our agency is more important than trying to protect the people we love by protecting ourselves. If we make ourselves miserable in the process of making game decisions, then who really wins?
[a tiny shrug]
It hurts me when I have to watch you guys make choices that go against your own personal ideals. And I think that's something the people we care about on other units can understand-- should understand.
Re: DISCUSSION
Re: DISCUSSION
Re: DISCUSSION
We don't have to downvote carelessly.
We can pick and choose and try to save our skins. We don't have to be complete douchebags while doing it, y'know?
Re: DISCUSSION
I really don't give a shit what other people think about our decisions. If they get pissed off, then they can get pissed off. What I care about is this unit, and what this unit believes is best for us.
[A BIT ANNOYED. not at her, though]
. . . that said, I don't mind downvoting with a li'l more discretion. But again, there's only one that I think I might recognize.
Re: DISCUSSION
I agree, honestly. I would just rather spare our unit from getting screamed at, but let's try to keep ourselves afloat, at least for our own sake. We saw what happened when we did jack shit. Everybody was firing off downvotes like it was going out of fucken style.
Re: DISCUSSION
[a small grin]
Let's flex our own downvote muscles.
Re: DISCUSSION
[ small, weak smile? ]
We've had moments where we thought it was impossible to turn things around, and we'd surely lose, and didn't. It's too soon to entirely count ourselves out.
Re: DISCUSSION
[nods at her]
In that case, we should probably comb through these and pick out the people we recognize.
