IMPOCALYPSE
BATTLE MECHANICS
Note: characters that are heavily injured may acquire corruptions. There will be heavy maiming.
- This is a turn-based fight. PCs will take their turn, the boss will react, and then the boss will take their turn. Players will react and take their turn, and so on and so forth.
- You may take up to six actions in one turn, including dodge. You may attack up to 6 times if you're not dodging, and you can attack even if you are dodging or fail to dodge. If a swing delivers more than one attack (throwing multiple projectiles at the same time) then it's counted as one "action".
- With every strike/blow/attack, .roll 1d6 twice (or !2d6. MAKE SURE TO DO IT THIS WAY BECAUSE NADEKO IS A TRAITOR. The first dice determines whether your attack succeeds or fails, with 1-3 as fail and 4-6 as success. The second dice determines how much damage you inflict on the boss. Please include both numbers with your comment on your turn.
- Roll for every strike, not for every turn. If your character decides to shoot 4 times in succession, roll a 2d6 for every bullet.
- Green text can be dodged, but red text is guaranteed damage. Dodge by using a 1d6, 1-3 as fail and 4-6 as success.
- UNIT ABILITY MECHANICS ARE HERE, but please note: this is not the end-all be-all of how these powers can be used, and these are not the only powers that can be used in a fight, these are just the ones that affect rolls specifically. The session's runner always has the final say, so ask if you want to do something cool but you don't think it's street legal. (It probably is.)
Note: characters that are heavily injured may acquire corruptions. There will be heavy maiming.
EFFECTS LIST
- Black substance, both sticky and acidic
- A sticky substance that seems to cling to everything it touches, and is impossible to pull off. It melts through flesh, but the more it melts, the more it seems to become absorbed. Sufficient absorption of this substance in any capacity (skin absorption, digestion) will result in corruptions that may be permanent. May be removed by severing the affected area, or by bringing the affected area to the deadzone.

PLAYER ACTION
Re: PLAYER ACTION
which might take away from the cute crystal antlers reveal, a bit??]
Re: PLAYER ACTION
[Maybe it's the prior experience with FIRE BAD or maybe he's just gunshy after last time (and is covered in fucking blood to prove it, yeah) but K sure did manage to extremely dodge that tornado and may now in fact be up a tree or something? Either way with a 6 he's sure as hell not getting mcfuckin hit.
[K's not waiting around for this lot to take a fancy to any of his limbs, either, so he's baring his tiger claws and going in for an attack.
[5 + 4]
Re: PLAYER ACTION
she forges herself another sword, for good measure, and slashes at the nearest demon: once, twice.
5 to hit, 6 damage
6 to hit, 3 damage. ]
Re: PLAYER ACTION
Re: PLAYER ACTION
Re: PLAYER ACTION
[ she's going to get noah, k, persephone, kaguya, leviathan, and hiryuu ALL UP IN HER SYSTEM. ]
[ in her haste to make new friends she does probably get hit with a door, but there's so much ELSE going on in her monster head that she'll do her best to shake it off and attack, striking the nearest demon with teeth and claws alike. ]
[ 2 dodge
5 hit, 1 2 2 3 4 5 5 damage for herself and her buddies. ]
Re: PLAYER ACTION
Re: PLAYER ACTION
Swinging her staff around she aims immediately for the nearest imp and will absolutely use in solidarity to maximize the attack.
Hit: 4
Dam: 4 + 4 = 8]
Guess they aren't tired yet.

Re: PLAYER ACTION
Then they let gravity dive them, spear first, onto the demon. hit 2| dmg 5]
Re: PLAYER ACTION
She's not blown away despite her size--her tail thrashes behind herself and she braces herself against the hot wind as she summons up her Heart Weapon--using the wind to push her into the thick of her enemies, she strikes.
6 for hit
4 for damage ]
BOSS REACTION
Meanwhile, Leviathan manages to wrap his whipblade around the neck of one the demons, limiting its range of motion and keeping it off balance long enough for Hiryuu to sink her blade into it - Cardinal's attack, on the other hand, goes straight through it - as does Cardinal, as it dissipates enough for them to pass straight through along with their spear.
BOSS ACTION
The demon that Cardinal passed through on the other hand attempts to grab them, using them as a club to bash Hiryuu. The other unattended demon comes up behind Leviathan, wielding a large tree branch as a weapon to try and beat him in the back of the head.
The final demon, the one initially attacked by K and Friends, decides it too will make friends! By which I mean it uproots a nearby tree, and swings it around in a semi-circle to deal a savage blow to D.va.
PLAYER (RE)ACTION
Re: PLAYER (RE)ACTION
[ 1 to dodge... ]
Re: PLAYER (RE)ACTION
he tries to de-can himself which also doesn't work (2) and is MORE embarrassing, and he's very disoriented as well as squashed because--?? what is up with these feelings?? those aren't his right???]
Re: PLAYER (RE)ACTION

Master...!
[ What he wants to try and do is get to the demon attacking her. ]
Re: PLAYER (RE)ACTION
Well, okay, it's a little something, that's gonna probably be some awful bruising and bleeding, but as soon as he lands, he takes a couple shots with Five's gun.
One misses (2) but the other one lands (4, 3).]

[Oh no you fucking don't!
[It's not as good an attack as he might have liked but it's a little tricky to figure out the angles on attacking a demon that just clubbed your beserking monster sorta-girlfriend with a literal fucking tree. WHERE DO YOU AIM HERE.
[He slashes for its back anyway. Maybe he ain't gonna be stopping it right now, but he can at least make it hurt.

Hang in there, Northstar!
[ Hiryuu summons up her aibou, the intent of her desire--to protect her squishy new unitmate full in her heart--and for the first time, it takes the form of a very large, very red, rather ominous looking dragon. --Well, "very," it's as big as aibous get, anyway. ]
Go protect her!
[ Unfortunately dealing with that means she's not left with much time to react to what else is happening.... It's pretty shocking to see your mom get turned into a club, right? Well. It is for Hiryuu anyway. D.va's going to get a spike of terror and adrenaline from this side of the bond. ]
Cardinal!
[ That's about all she manages to do before she crit fails this roll.
1 for evading ]
Re: PLAYER (RE)ACTION
she looks around for who seems like they're in some of the most trouble, and—well, the basketball kid is basically a baby, and one of Gold's friends, right? she throws one of her swords in that direction to warpstrike and interpose herself to strike at that one, summoning her feint to flank.
1 to hit (fail)
5 to hit, 1 damage ]
Re: PLAYER (RE)ACTION
Re: PLAYER (RE)ACTION
Whipping around she spins her weapon, aiming directly for the demons face with the intent of smashing it in and using in solidarity to destroy it as best she can.
Hit: 5
Dam: 5+5 = 10]
Wildfire, get up...!
[ If he is able to. She hopes the SensitIV's are in good shape right now. She plants herself between him and the imp. ]
