Hiryuu Ideal World {Session 3}

WELCOME TO IDEAL WORLDS: ANCIENT PSEUDO-KOREAN DRAGON GODS EDITION.

Your character's primary goal will be to convince Hiryuu to leave her ideal world. This is ICly known.

For the bulk of your character's journey (perhaps, even, the entire journey, depending on what they do along the way) your character will not have access to their unit's powerset. Please see the START for more IC information. Depending on how you go about your quest you may or may not encounter dangers or traumas.

Any items that your character had on their person before entering the game will remain with them for the duration of the game! However, all technological items will cease functioning before they leave the start area. Please see the START for more IC information.

In order to provide some guidance, key components / places are bolded, but just because something isn't in bold doesn't mean you can't interact with it. Go wild!

Oh! That's right, you've never met them before. ... Well, most of them. You might have known Kija from Imeeji.

[ she points to the young man with white hair and a scaly hand ]

Then of course there's our mother, Yoon--

[ The boy wearing the apron shouts back that he's NOT ANYONE'S MOTHER, which earns some laughter around the campfire. ]

This is Hak--

[ she points to the man with black hair; he nods his head in acknowledgement-- ]

--Shuten--

[ she points to the green haired man, who gives Northstar a salute and a saucy wink-- ]

--Yellow--

[ this is apparently the golden-maned boy's name? ]

--and Abi.

[ She gestures to the boy with a mask, and then suddenly--something tiny scampers off of him and straight up Hiryuu. ]

... And this is the most important member of our crew. Please meet Ao!

[ She holds up the tiny squirrel--who holds out an acorn for Northstar to eat. ]

[She gives the green haired man a flat squint. Eventually, her eyes fall on the squirrel. She accepts the acorn with a smile.]

It's nice to meet all of you. I'm Northstar, a unitmate of Hiryuu's. I'm sure she's told you all about Heart Soldier Senshi already.

"Some of us were there," Hak drawls. ]

You can say it nicer than that, Hak. --He's right though. Shuten was on Taisho for a while--Abi was with us on Heart Soldier Senshi, before your time--and Hak was on Avante.

Ah.

[She looks over them.]

I haven't had a chance to meet any of you there, yet, my apologies. My first few days have been... [She lets out a snort.]

Let's call them eventful.

But.... you've been here for a year now, Northstar. Everyone has. Are you feeling okay?

... [Her eyebrow quirks up. To her credit, she doesn't react outwardly besides that.]

A year?

Yes. We all escaped Imeeji a year ago. You should be safe now.... has someone been giving you trouble?

[Ah.]

[She lets out a sigh and rubs her head.]

I'm sorry. I can't recall anything of the last year, Hiryuu. I remember my first few days in Imeeji...and little else besides entering this forest and finding you here.

What?! Why didn't you say that first? Northstar... please, come sit down.

[ she's going to try to usher her over to an empty spot at the fire ]

Did you hit your head? What happened?

[She goes along with it and sits down on a log.]

It must be something of that sort. Can you tell me what's happened in the past year?

[ she

pauses. it becomes... almost uncomfortably lengthy, actually, and hiryuu herself seems to be becoming uncomfortable--until she lifts her hand up to touch her necklace. and her facial expression smooths out. ]

A lot of things, really. I'm going to be getting married soon, today's my birthday, Hak and Soo-won are teaching me how to ride a horse and we have a big celebration going on at Senri!

[...a smile crosses Northstar's face. It's. It's genuine, but it's not particularly happy.]

That's wonderful, Hiryuu. Who are you getting married to?

[ u r gonna regret asking that question ]

Kija, Shuten, Hak, Wednesday, Ardashir, and Santa. And--I still have to ask Crow for permission, but maybe Phoenix, too.

Yes! Well, part of it. My spouses in it, anyway.

[This is getting off topic, but she has to ask.]

What's a bash?

The way it was explained to me is--it's a specific kind of family, several adults living and raising children together. It's short for 'i-basho', which means "where you belong." The whole point of a bash' is choosing the people you want to spend your life with.

[Okay, that's kind of sweet, but she's still having some trouble getting her head around the 'everybody's married to everybody' part. But she. Puts that part away for the moment.]

I see. [She smiles a bit.] I'm very happy for you, Hiryuu. For all of you. When did you beco... [She pauses. Her mouth twitches a bit.] When did. Each of you become engaged?

it's A Lot, and you learn lots of things granny. You'll see. ]

[ she.... pauses again. and lifts her hand to her locket again. ]

You know... it's going to sound silly, but I didn't pay attention to the date!

Mmn. [A grimace starts to tug at her smile, just a little bit.]

Can you remember what time of day it was? What the weather is like? Where you were? Whether you were inside or outside? Or what you were wearing? [She gestures to Hiyuu's hand.] Or where you got the ring? Or...maybe where you got your locket?

Can you think of any of those things?

I can't... I was injured many times in Imeeji, so it... may be that my memory was affected. I'm not sure.
