princess maker - future is now

[ When you insert the key and open the door, you'll find the room inside looks like the living room of a mansion. There are several doors, but one in particular stands out to you: it is ornately decorated, the very door's wood itself carved beautifully with gold etched in to make luxurious patterns depicting what looks like the sky and the wind blowing through the grasslands. Though the door is closed, you can see through it—as if it's somewhat transparent.

The room is painted baby blue and a gold-plated cradle sits in the room. Inside, a baby cries - high pitched and noisy, though immediately a nurse comes in to rock the child back to sleep. ]

-

[ Slowly, the scene changes, fading in and out with various silent scenes—the baby sits up, trying to climb out of her cradle; a little toddler dressed prettily with expensive clothes beams pleasantly; a tantrum, thrown by the little girl who's distressed; the little girl holding a puppy, pleased as punch; then the wall becomes opaque. ]

[ In the middle of the open doorway, a young girl the age of 10 sits on a chair, smiling at you. a golden retriever is curled up beside her.

This is your little girl. you couldn't help spoiling her, honestly - after all, she's a noble too, and she should like to become a princess as well. She deserves it! But you also know, with how your history's gone, she's going to have to work to get to the top. Still, you have faith in her - she's your girl, after all. ]

[ HUFFFFF ]

Fine. Obviously we have an angle to work at. Regardless of what Primrose has done, the facts are still that an educator threatened to fail her unless Primrose confessed to some suspected crimes. When Primrose refused, this teacher failed her on purpose despite Prim being able to grasp the knowledge.

Then, she used her own son to infiltrate Prim's private life and coerce her into sloppy, ill-thought-out crimes, while secretly recording it in order to hand over to the police. Anyway you look at it, it's a setup. It's entrapment.

Right. But even just proving that is going to be a tall order, the damage is already done. And the teacher has already had weeks to plan this out and cover their tracks.

So I have a counterplan - assuming that Primose is up for it.

Instead of focusing on our defense, let's go on the attack. The evidence is all there - including the evidence that her son is mixed up in all of this. If that teacher is vile as I think they are - they'll let their son go to prison for these crimes as long as we go down with them.

Let's play right into their hand and send ourselves to jail. Or at least some of us. Let that dumbfuck realize that he was he was his parent's disposal chess piece all along. Let him realize he has no one to turn to, but the person he betrayed.

And then let's fucking welcome him with open arms.

Game. Set. Match. That's when we'll have all the dirt on that stupid fucking teacher that we'll ever need to destroy them forever. Getting out of jail will be child's play after all that.

We'll need an exit plan beyond 'just escape from prison'.

[You're a real killjoy sometimes, Bell]

Bribe the guards.

Alternatively, find me an electric knife.

[personal profile] metafaliure 2018-09-30 05:17 am (UTC)(link)
We can bribe some guards, kill some lights, engineer an escape. But we'll have to disappear from town after that.

[personal profile] bluescreenwhitedragon 2018-09-30 05:23 am (UTC)(link)
Do we? Or do we trust in our ability to charm our way out of this mess?

[personal profile] metafaliure 2018-09-30 05:26 am (UTC)(link)
If we're going to charm our way out, let's try to get it before we get thrown in prison. Let Prim stand in front of everyone and weep and sob and declare how remorseful she is for allowing herself to be led astray for the sake of the love of a young boy. Let us bluster and throw our weight around. Aren't we nobles? And she's an educator? Surely we have resources she doesn't that we can use against her.

[Look, Bell. Intensity doesn't understand charm at all. Why did you let their daughter gets all the points in that and not intelligence and strength]

Then may I offer one more parallel strategy to up our odds.

Send Angel to see if she can convince the teacher to drop the charges. If she can't do it, no one fucking can.

Let's call that plan 'A'.

Weeping and wailing and playing the misled little lamb to fool the town will be plan 'B'.

Plan 'C' is bringing them down with us...

And plan 'D' is skipping town and changing our identities?

[personal profile] bluescreenwhitedragon 2018-09-30 05:34 am (UTC)(link)
Plan 'D' also comes with the addendum that one day we'll come back and take this fucking kingdom by force.

But yes, I approve of all of these strategies.

[personal profile] metafaliure 2018-09-30 05:35 am (UTC)(link)
Right, plan D also includes leveraging our contacts in the criminal underworld to take control of the city's unsavoury element so we can eventually turn it into our private army.

And plan E is to torch everything.

Hahahaha.

Just kidding.

We'll see.

[uuuh]

Going to jail will kill or reputation. Is that a wise idea? And you’re assuming this teacher’s son will get tossed into jail with us, instead of left off of the hook because he was undercover.
bluescreenwhitedragon: ([Ira-ira] Fuck off!)

[personal profile] bluescreenwhitedragon 2018-09-30 05:23 am (UTC)(link)
If we're following that logic, arguing entrapment isn't going to work in our favor any better. The odds of us proving our innocence are pretty slim because guess what -- we're not actually innocent!
hexsplosive: (pic#12509448)

[personal profile] hexsplosive 2018-09-30 05:28 am (UTC)(link)
[hmmmm]

This is where dear Primmy’s charm comes into play. If she can play the role of the innocent, coerced, entrapped sidekick well enough, then perhaps the town will believe her over the teacher and her son. The evidence she has also damns him, after all.

But if charming the town doesn’t work, then our backup plan could be as suggested. We’d have to skip town afterwards, or delve into the criminal underground, or change our identities. But either of those options would make it rather difficult to grift a prince, as it’s likely Primmy’s reputation will prevent her from getting close enough to him.

[a beat]

Save for changing our identities and wiping the slate clean.
bluescreenwhitedragon: ([Ira-Ira] Hand pron)

[personal profile] bluescreenwhitedragon 2018-09-30 05:32 am (UTC)(link)
If it comes down to the second option, we can own this fucking kingdom without the prince's blessing.

Ownership through the shadows requires a lot less of this political bullshit than trying to do it out in the open.
hexsplosive: (pic#12510762)

[personal profile] hexsplosive 2018-09-30 05:35 am (UTC)(link)
Preferably, it wouldn’t come down to the second option. This is the perfect chance for us to put Primmy’s training to the test. It’s sink or swim, right?

[hmmm!]

But even so, we’ve spent all of our resources on teaching her charm. Suddenly changing course and opting for a more secretive, shadowy lifestyle may conflict with the skills she’s gained thus far.

That's because all of you made the wrong fucking choice! You're betting on being able to predict and to adapt to the miserable fickleness that is the human condition.

A smarter person wouldn't have fallen for such a trick.

And a stronger one would have broke that fucker in half once she realized he betrayed her.
hexsplosive: (pic#12538075)

[personal profile] hexsplosive 2018-09-30 05:43 am (UTC)(link)
[a slight curl of her mouth]

For some of us, adapting to the fickleness of human nature is as easy as breathing.

If you don’t believe me, then before you condemn our choices, let us show you what Primmy can do.
bluescreenwhitedragon: ([Card] 001)

[personal profile] bluescreenwhitedragon 2018-09-30 05:45 am (UTC)(link)
Don't act like we have a choice in the matter. That's the only card we have to play right now.
hexsplosive: (pic#12510753)

[personal profile] hexsplosive 2018-09-30 05:46 am (UTC)(link)
And if I’m wrong, we’ll have no choice but to play the game your way. It works out for all of us. ☆
