[ When you insert the key and open the door, you'll find yourself in a humble cottage, in what seems to be the living room specifically. There are several doors, but a specific one catches your eye: simple in its decoration, the door has a cute little wooden plaque with flowers carved into it. Though the door is closed, you can see through it—as if it's somewhat transparent.

A wooden cradle sits in the room beyond, which is otherwise plain. Inside, a baby sleeps peacefully. When she stirs, calling for her parent, you are there to cradle her back to sleep. ]

[ Slowly, the scene changes, fading in and out with various silent scenes—the baby coos pleasantly, giggling jovially when you (presumably) make faces at her; she tries to pick herself up and falls over, but she does not cry; a disagreement between you and her lead to a thoughtful discussion; the young girl carries a large laundry basket to do chores; she buys a pet bird, looking so proud for having earned the money all by herself; then the wall becomes opaque. ]

[ In the middle of the open doorway, a young girl the age of 10 stands, smiling at you. A bird with beautiful plumage rests on her shoulder.

This is your daughter. You tried your best to rear her, and she's been good to you. You know she is capable of anything if she puts her mind to it - even becoming a princess. But you also know it's not easy to become a princess - she'll have to work hard, and she's capable of it but you'll have to guide her hand, most certainly. Better she become a princess than go off to war, though; you could not stand to see your baby girl die on the battlefield. Whether she actually becomes a princess or not . . . well, that's up to fate, isn't it? All you can do is try your best. ]

It's far, though, right? It's the capital.

We'll have time to plan on the way. The longer we stick around here, the longer they'll have to do - to do whatever to them.

...We were warned, we have friends. Old war buddies. We need to find out who would be willing to support is if we fought.

We need to make sure Joy is safe - we need to get books so she can continue her education, on the road is going to be tough and she's going to need all the help she can get to boost those stats.

We need to find transportation and get provisions.

And they're coming to the house to investigate tomorrow so we need to make sure we don't have anything they can use against us, we have the night to prepare and leave before they get here.

[Hiryuu was right I can't believe Hiryuu was fucking right WHY DID I NOT EXPECT THINGS TO BE THIS AWFUL OF COURSE IF SHE SAID IT THE PRODUCERS WOULD MAKE ALL HER WORST NIGHTMARES COME TRUE WHY EVEN BOTHER TRYING FOR OPTIMISM.]

Okay... okay, yeah. You're right. We can do this.

We're knights, right? We gotta have horses or something. And there's gotta be people like us out there all over the place - "Plague Bearers."

If they know what they're up against - what's being done to people - there's no way they'll roll over and let it stand. We're not gonna be on our own in this.

Anyone like that who's in hiding probably won't want to risk it. We might have luck in the military, but if we want more... There's a smuggling ring in town. If we can find out where they'll act next, maybe we can liberate the people trapped there. We might find more allies, or at the very least, we'll free some wrongly imprisoned people, but our opportunity for that will be short.

You think we could shine a light on em while we're at it?

I mean, this goes deep, but not everyone knows, right? We put the spotlight on what's going on, there's got to be some people out there, even without powers, who'll step up and say it's wrong.

We need to make sure we're disguised. If our faces are covered and nobody knows it's us, then Joy will be safe.

She'll need a disguise too.

I dunno if disguises are gonna help much... but you're the guy with the plan. Just point the way, dude.

So long's we get out there and do it fast, I'm on board.

The point of the disguise is so that they think we fled town in fear, we don't want them knowing it's us, or they'll know we're coming for Hiryuu-san and King-san and it will be harder to get to them.

Start packing up the house. Take food, anything we can use, hide anything to do with our abilities.

Right... yeah. On it.

[He turns to go - pauses.]

What about the bird? You think he can stay with someone, till we get all this sorted out?

[Mori looks over at him quietly for a moment, reaching over to bump his fist against Hurricane's heart.]

Okay. Of course we do. We're definitely going to save them.

You know it.

[He looks like he wants to say more - but time's short, so he turns instead to go ransack the house for everything they might need and to get rid of everything they might need to hide.]
