[ When you insert the key and open the door, you'll find yourself in a humble cottage, in what seems to be the living room specifically. There are several doors, but a specific one catches your eye: simple in its decoration, the door has a cute little wooden plaque with flowers carved into it. Though the door is closed, you can see through it—as if it's somewhat transparent.
A wooden cradle sits in the room beyond, which is otherwise plain. Inside, a baby sleeps peacefully. When she stirs, calling for her parent, you are there to cradle her back to sleep. ]
-
[ Slowly, the scene changes, fading in and out with various silent scenes—the baby coos pleasantly, giggling jovially when you (presumably) make faces at her; she tries to pick herself up and falls over, but she does not cry; a disagreement between you and her lead to a thoughtful discussion; the young girl carries a large laundry basket to do chores; she buys a pet bird, looking so proud for having earned the money all by herself; then the wall becomes opaque. ]
[ In the middle of the open doorway, a young girl the age of 10 stands, smiling at you. A bird with beautiful plumage rests on her shoulder.
This is your daughter. You tried your best to rear her, and she's been good to you. You know she is capable of anything if she puts her mind to it - even becoming a princess. But you also know it's not easy to become a princess - she'll have to work hard, and she's capable of it but you'll have to guide her hand, most certainly. Better she become a princess than go off to war, though; you could not stand to see your baby girl die on the battlefield. Whether she actually becomes a princess or not . . . well, that's up to fate, isn't it? All you can do is try your best. ]

FREE WEEK 1
Or perhaps, you could do something else with her? Something fun, maybe? It's basically a vacation, after all.
-
Basically: it's a mini-mingle. You can go to the fair and have some fun or you can do something else! You can submit in a comment OR you can thread, either way is fine. You may affect your daughter's stats here, but not her temperament or moral compass. You have until the end of the game to finish Free Weeks, which is when they'll be tallied up to the total of your princess's stat totals. This is entirely optional, and serves as a method for people who can't play during regular gamerunner hours to be able to do something fun while contributing to the game, although everyone is welcome.
Re: FREE WEEK 1
A lot of things happened.
Whatever plans we had sure got cancelled.
Eclipse is still kind of just staring in horror, since this is a lot...to digest... ]

TURN IN
What they've really done is gone to an old retired military friends house to lay low while they plan their attack. To make it to the capital, they need allies and they need transportation. They work on securing horses, seeking out any sympathetic to their cause who would be willing to stand up and fight, if any of their old military buddies will help save their captured friends. They're cautious about it, careful to hide their faces in public and never travel in big groups.
Joy is educated at home, and on missions when they can be sure of her safety she can come along to help. She aids them in planting evidence of their false escape and they continue to train her in combat. Sometimes they bring her with them when they meet with allies. Maybe they try to teach her to teach her bird to be a messenger bird. At home they try to take care of her despite their rush, taking the time to reassure her and dote on her like loving parents. Things are tough right now, but they'll get better, they're going to fix this.
They investigate the slave ring in their town. They're going to expose it, and plan a raid on the night of an auction to free the captives and see if any of them are willing to join the cause. This attack will be flashy and public, to get maximum exposure of what's REALLY going on with the nobility to the townsfolk.]

You can't reach them. They're beyond a transparent wall of . . . magic, it looks like? Some sort of enchantment - military grade, it's obviously endorsed by the monarchy. What's the purpose of this?
Maybe the purpose of this can be found in the human protesters that stand at the wall, with signs that say things like "THE CAPITAL IS INFESTED", with "INFECTED" written above it, or "PROTECT OUR CHILDREN", or "THE KING IS A COWARD". There are always the dissenters, after all.
This might have nothing to do with you, but maybe . . . it does? Maybe you could figure out what's going on here - or maybe you can seek out some information.
What do you do?

FREE WEEK 2
She went to try to get an audience with the King and the Prince. She was turned away at the door, of course - but as she was trying, someone took her away.
Someone from the old guard.
They told her that they knew her parents - you - from the military. She believed them, trusted them - of course, why wouldn't she? Her faith is rewarded as such:
At dawn, you go to the north side of the Capital. There, you can see an exit and entrance - a transport route for food entering the Plague Bearer side of the city. It's not particularly heavily guarded; it doesn't have to be, after all.
A hooded figure who looks neither man nor woman leads three people out: Hiryuu, King, and. . . Joy. However, the hooded figure does not leave - there are cuffs on the person that you can see, electricity crackling between the matching cuffs. Heavy metal plating stands at the end of the tunnel, and the electricity through the cuffs crackle threateningly when the hooded figure comes near.
You don't have much time - not here, anyway. You'll have to escape from this area before they find you. Right now, there's no one guarding the loading bay specifically because the people who are working this part of the shift are your old war buddies, but they can't turn a blind eye for much longer.
How did Joy get here in the first place? Well . .. it turns out that the old guard had told her about the Quarantine - about how her parents weren't dispatched anywhere, insofar as they knew, because they haven't gotten any new Plague Bearer recruits, so . . . well, she did the math. She got herself captured so she could go bust her parents out.
She didn't actually manage to bust her parents out properly, but her heart is in the right place!
You were right. You didn't raise a princess. You raised a hero. This girl is a Heart Soldier Senshi.

FREE WEEK 3
You have a feeling that this week will be the last week you ever see Joy again. After all, after this - after this, you'll have to go back to your life as idols.
For your last week together with her, what will you do . . . ?
Re: FREE WEEK 3
We're also gonna pick her up a nice dress before the Summer festival, one that Joy can help choose, as well as some nice perfumes and hair pins.
And uh. WE WEREN'T SURE IF IT WAS THIS WEEK OR AFTER THAT WE'RE SUPPOSED TO TRY TO MEET THE PRINCE, BUT IF IT'S THIS WEEK, WE'RE DEFINITELY MAKING TIME FOR THAT. hopefully we've got some reknown from earlier efforts to back us up.

The door opens one final time, and your daughter gives you all a hug - you can't be there for the Summer Festival, and you can't be there for her speech, alas.
"I know you have to go now. Thank you for everything - I love you. I'm going to do my best to help everyone."
You may proceed to endgame.
Re: END
We love you. You're always our princess--no matter what happens!
