princess maker - Heart Soldier Senshi

[ When you insert the key and open the door, you'll find yourself in a humble cottage, in what seems to be the living room specifically. There are several doors, but a specific one catches your eye: simple in its decoration, the door has a cute little wooden plaque with flowers carved into it. Though the door is closed, you can see through it—as if it's somewhat transparent.

A wooden cradle sits in the room beyond, which is otherwise plain. Inside, a baby sleeps peacefully. When she stirs, calling for her parent, you are there to cradle her back to sleep. ]

-

[ Slowly, the scene changes, fading in and out with various silent scenes—the baby coos pleasantly, giggling jovially when you (presumably) make faces at her; she tries to pick herself up and falls over, but she does not cry; a disagreement between you and her lead to a thoughtful discussion; the young girl carries a large laundry basket to do chores; she buys a pet bird, looking so proud for having earned the money all by herself; then the wall becomes opaque. ]

[ In the middle of the open doorway, a young girl the age of 10 stands, smiling at you. A bird with beautiful plumage rests on her shoulder.

This is your daughter. You tried your best to rear her, and she's been good to you. You know she is capable of anything if she puts her mind to it - even becoming a princess. But you also know it's not easy to become a princess - she'll have to work hard, and she's capable of it but you'll have to guide her hand, most certainly. Better she become a princess than go off to war, though; you could not stand to see your baby girl die on the battlefield. Whether she actually becomes a princess or not . . . well, that's up to fate, isn't it? All you can do is try your best. ]

We got warning you guys had been grabbed, and that there'd be people showing up at the house the next morning, so we booked it. We packed up stuff to keep up with Joy's lessons and took off, with some help from our old war buddies on the way.

We tried to check out the slave ring, but they disappeared and we couldn't track em. Susan's family got busted for being involved, though.

Then we came after you guys - got into town and tried to figure out what was going on with the barrier. Turns out, the king might not be that bad a guy? Sounded like the barrier's to try and keep the people living inside it safe. There's protestors and stuff, and the people here - they think the king's too soft cause he doesn't just kill the ones too sick to fight.

The slave trade's not based here at all. People with powers come here to be safe.

Then it seems that presently there are two major problems facing this place. Previously, we had assumed that perhaps it was only a problem of the noble people, but it would seem that the whole populace has become prejudiced against the so-called "Plague Bearers," and that they lack the proper mercy needed for individuals who are weak or sickly.

Secondly, there is the issue of the disappeared slavers. I want them found and I want them brought to justice--whether it is the king's, or found at our swords.

[ Susan's family getting grilled isn't good enough, frankly. PEOPLE HURTING BABIES WITH SPECIAL POWERS IS HER TRIGGER. THANKS, FUCKOS WHO HURT SHUTEN AND ABI!!!!!!! ]

They cannot simply have truly "vanished." Rather, they are being hidden, covered for within this country's populace. Something must be done to sway the hearts and minds of the people so that we can not only apprehend these people but hopefully better the lives of all so-called "Plague Bearers." If we don't, Joy will suffer after our inevitable departure.

[ cuz uh. yeah. WE TAUGHT HER MAGIC; even if she isn't a plague bearer they'll definitley brand her for one if the get caught ]

Yeah... for sure. We can't just leave things.

It's not just Joy, dude. All those people - we can't just walk away while it's like this.

I'm well aware of what suffering we'll be abandoning all of these people to if we fail. Whether or not this is real, or fake--whether or not any of them remember this--we still have to treat it as if it is. In case.

[ even if it's not her country... these are still people. and she can't imagine leaving them in this sort of hellish situation. ]
