[ You all wake up in bed with your smartphone at your bedside, all of you in your sleepwear, with a message on your phone.

Good morning, newly departed guest stars! You've got new co-stars to meet, a new dorm to explore, and the television in the main room with the "names" of everyone in your unit with flashing empty boxes next to them, waiting for you to each assign yourself a personal color as well as a mythological creature (if that is available to you—some of you will have that option grayed out). Or assign them to each other, really, no one's stopping you.

Once you've chosen your color and creature (or, once it's chosen for you), your closets will unlock with 3 sets of traditional Japanese clothing fitted exactly to your size. Additionally, upon choosing your creature, you might find yourself suddenly with some new appendages (check Player Notes).

Also, the front door is currently locked. It looks like you actually have no choice but to get to know each other for an hour or two before those open up. ]

[ a girl in a simple sleeping yukata walks out and walks straight to the tv, inputting a color. her youkai has already been chosen for her, and the signs of it are already showing, a pair of triangular black dog ears sat still and upright on the top of her head

her expression is blank. her eyes are mostly blue, but the outmost rings of her irises are a vivid red. ]

[ she walks back to her room without talking to anyone,

and comes back out clothed, pulling the mask down into place over her eyes. there are two swords sheathed at her waist. ]

[ As much as he tries to be discreet, he can't hide the fact he's watching from a fighter on her level, and he's even more obvious when he goes over to the tv, copying what she just did and picking a color.

Or more accurately stares the TV down like it has personally offended him. ]

[ the rings around her eyes go two-tone, right aqua and left yellow

she blinks at him once. and then bows in turn ]

Ah, yes. It's good that it was handled properly.

[ On the way back to his room, he pauses. ]

Y'looked mighty comfortable usin' that screen thing. There a reason for that?

[ the foreign colors fade out of her eyes, leaving just her own blue behind ]

No, it is not a secret. I had lived in this city for a time prior to this, so I am familiar with the process of choosing positions, but that sort of technology was also quite typical in my hometown.

[ back to her room, then back out. she has the face covering up already but leaves the mask at the top of her head for the time being ]

she probably got a kama and manriki-gusari and hooked them in her belt already instead though so the sentiment stands. it's impossible to really read her expression but the rings around her eyes tinge sky blue, and it sounds a bit like she's smiling ]

Ah, yes. Although I have worn western-style clothing more frequently, I'm happy if I look the part. Perhaps this sort of thing suits me better.

I am used to wearing all kinds of outfits, so I am comfortable with most things. Although, especially restrictive pants are somewhat of a pain.

[ pulls up her phone to hunt down his profile ]

You will have to find the name 'Demon King, Standing Alone in Fleeting Cherry Blossoms' on this screen, and touch the words 'position' and 'color' besides it. They will provide options to choose from.

[Pfft. He wants to laugh at his own name. That's really long.]
