[ You all wake up in bed with your smartphone at your bedside, all of you in your sleepwear, with a message on your phone.

Good morning, newly departed guest stars! You've got new co-stars to meet, a new dorm to explore, and the television in the main room with the "names" of everyone in your unit with flashing empty boxes next to them, waiting for you to each assign yourself a personal color as well as a mythological creature (if that is available to you—some of you will have that option grayed out). Or assign them to each other, really, no one's stopping you.

Once you've chosen your color and creature (or, once it's chosen for you), your closets will unlock with 3 sets of traditional Japanese clothing fitted exactly to your size. Additionally, upon choosing your creature, you might find yourself suddenly with some new appendages (check Player Notes).

Also, the front door is currently locked. It looks like you actually have no choice but to get to know each other for an hour or two before those open up. ]

Even if he doesn't come of his own accord, Hiroto will grab him by the wrist and take him along.]

He is no shield. He's far too precious for such a use, and I will not leave him behind.

I give you my word; defeat me and he goes free, unharmed, and I will not pursue him for 24 hours.

[He would hate it, but the truth is that he's fairly confident that he can win.]

[Hiroto helps Persephone settle against a wall once they are outside, then turning to face Ardbert... and immediately activating his Myriad Gods, transforming himself into a glowing gold oni, standing 9'7.5".]

[Crow is staying WELL out of the way and out of sight but is also definitely watching this all go down. Especially interested in Hiroto's powers and any limits it might have.]

[He looks unimpressed with the size.]

You've no weapon...?

[Well. Hiroto isn't interested in slaughtering someone who has no way to do the same to him, he supposes, so he pulls out the kama sickle he's been lugging around and the folded naginata, setting them both down by the wall.]

Shall I start then?

None I'll bloody on you.

[He sizes the guy up and decides, probably going for tactics over brute force is the best bet here.]

All right, come at me.

[Hiroto has overwhelming force on his side, it's true.

And with the invitation, he will come at him, punching downward into the ground. If it hits it'd be devastating, but if it misses he'll simply follow through into the ground, cracking it beneath his fist without so much as flinching.]

[If he wasn't used to fighting primals and the like he'd be more unprepared. But even without the Echo he can spot an AOE tankbuster to dodge it. Internally, well okay, maybe he's a little impressed. But like hell he's going to show it!

He's not going to stop and dwell on being impressed either, darting in to aim a balled fist to Hiroto's temple to try to stagger him while he's bent punching the earth. The faster this ends the better for himself, he doesn't give himself good odds in a prolonged fight. Especially since with Hiroto's reach, if that blow lands or not he won't be able to skip out of range fast enough either way.]

[It isn't unlike fighting a primal, maybe one of the more humanoid ones in EX mode, as Hiroto is a master of melee combat, for all he has terrible social skills.

Being punched hurts, even if you're over nine and a half feet tall and stronger than any human, and Hiroto grunts as knuckles hit his temple. He uses the hit as extra momentum to sweep an arm out towards Ardbert.]

[He tries to grab that wrist but even if he can any momentum from a guy as big as Hiroto is going to well, be felt. He grunts, and tries to yank the man with that rather than get knocked completely down.]

[What an odd way of fighting. It's more like a bar brawl than Hiroto would have any experience with(despite his love of drink), so he's caught off-guard by the move, stumbling a little when his wrist is grabbed.

Still, he's much stronger than any human has a right to be, and so when he regains his footing, he pulls his arm up in order to try to lift Ardbert off of the ground in order to try slamming him back down again. He's got a strategy and it's worked for him so far!]

[He should let go but uh, he doesn't in time, surprised by the move and more stunned by being slammed again.

Good thing he's god a hard head. If he's going to suffer for being bashed into the ground by a big man with bigger muscles he's not letting go, aiming to hold on tenaciously and kick the man in the armpit.

It is indeed more brawling than proper fighting, but without his axe it's a better style than fumbling around with anything formal he wouldn't be trained in.]

[...that's his name? there's an echo of something discordant, like physical pain, when Hiroto says it, and that is definitely a pained little gasp and shiver.

at least it's not Resonance, because the Neverborn can't reach him here, but also.]

[As long as it isn't exploding in Hiroto's face, that's good. The noise does draw Hiroto's eyes, though.]
