[ You all wake up in bed with your smartphone at your bedside, all of you in your sleepwear, with a message on your phone.

Good morning, newly departed guest stars! You've got new co-stars to meet, a new dorm to explore, and the television in the main room with the "names" of everyone in your unit with flashing empty boxes next to them, waiting for you to each assign yourself a personal color as well as a mythological creature (if that is available to you—some of you will have that option grayed out). Or assign them to each other, really, no one's stopping you.

Once you've chosen your color and creature (or, once it's chosen for you), your closets will unlock with 3 sets of traditional Japanese clothing fitted exactly to your size. Additionally, upon choosing your creature, you might find yourself suddenly with some new appendages (check Player Notes).

Also, the front door is currently locked. It looks like you actually have no choice but to get to know each other for an hour or two before those open up. ]

Nothing. I haven't done research on the others yet, though that may have to be our next priority. Our Kedamono was apparently once on the 'avante' unit though, and may be able to answer some questions about it.

Then I guess we'll just keep an eye out.

Not sure that I trust her judgement, but I'm already bored with arguing with the kids about it.

We don't have to trust her judgements to learn things. I asked her what we should leverage if they do not keep their end of the bargain, and she readily offered to slaughter them all, which tells me that there doesn't seem to be enough emotional attachment to hesitate to punish them.

If we interact with that unit on top of that, we can see if that kind of punishment for breaking an alliance is normal for that unit, which would lead me to believe that they do not take the idea of betrayal lightly, or if it is an outlier, which we could assume means that she really just doesn't care for them as much as she letting us think she does.

Wow~ I think I like her already. Traitors die where I’m from all the time. Maybe we can stipulate that they have to gut themselves if they break the alliance in any way?

They would indeed, but it'd be a good idea. Not that anything would enforce such a stipulation.

We could enforce it. If that girl thinks they should die if they betray us then I don't see why she wouldn't agree to enforce it.

If they break the alliance, they kill themselves. If they do not, then we kill them. That sound about right? Hmm.

I'd rather just skip the alliance altogether and kill them, but I imagine our Kedamono will be less amenable to that.
