Well, to sum it up, it basically means that you're in a situation that feels entirely out of your control, that you want someone reliable who you can trust and confide in, and that right now all changes seem like they might be bad changes to you and you might be worried about circumstances taking a turn for the worse.

That one isn't so direct! Ummm basically your advantages are you can be calm and cool in a crisis. Disadvantages are bullies and overambition. So devil in that position is basically like... 'look out, the path you're on right now leads to ruin, but you still have time to change course'... that kind of thing.
