[ Your unit-colored kitchen has all the basic necessities for cooking, but strangely, there's no refrigerator. There's just a table full of pebble-sized crystals. . . There are candies available in bins next to the crystals as well.
Though you can technically turn the stove on, you can't actually hurt yourself on it. It's like the flames are illusions. Huh.
Upon entering your unit-colored kitchen, you'll find that you can't see or hear anyone from any other kitchen. You're aware that this whole area is magically sight- and sound-proofed; no other unit will hear or see any conversation you have. ]

- Pie crust (1 sour, 1 salty, 1 savory)
Total Required:- 4 Sweet (happiness/excitement)
- 3 Sour (embarrassment/shame)
- 2 Salty (sadness/regret)
- 4 Bitter (anger/bitterness)
- 2 Savory (adrenaline/fear)
On the tables are pebble-sized crystals. Hold a handful of the crystals and share your memory (through talking or memoryshare candies) and the crystals will turn into that food!Characters are aware that the cooking process will be done with guidance, so all they need to worry about are the ingredients. Tasteless ingredients such as flour and cornstarch will be provided for them, so those ingredients are not listed.

So, let's see... ah, on one of my first days here, I ran into a man who was buying memories at the little café, and he was upset... because something really bad had happened to everyone he cared about in that memory, and it felt like it was his fault, for trying to do something clever. I was worried, so I talked to him a little bit, but...
it was a little frightening, because he shouted at me—but I knew he wasn't really... shouting at me, exactly.
...um, it's embarrassing, a little [ a lot ], because I feel like I overstepped, there, in trying to be comforting as a stranger—after thinking it over, I think he... needed to feel sad and angry at himself, rather than having those feelings go away. I felt like I should have understood him better, though, and the feelings he had.

...Truth is, I'm a really smart guy. That's no exaggeration - I was attending some really high level education at a much younger age than most people. Problem is, me and my whole family was cursed to become dangerous to the rest of humanity, and well... those kinds of smarts can be really dangerous with the wrong kind of person, you know?
As a kid, I got used to being able to handle things easily, so even when I was told about the curse I wasn't too upset. I just figured I'd find a way to fix it, like maybe... being a part of the curse and turning out to have the solution was how it was meant to be. So I poured everything I had into trying to find a way out of it, for both myself and my family.

In the end, there wasn't any solution. All the work I'd put in was for nothing. And besides that, the guy who told me about the curse in the first place... he knew I wasn't likely to give up even if I was told it was impossible. But he factored all of that into his plans, because he wanted me to feel so helpless, I'd give up completely and do whatever he wanted.

Lucifel and Primrose have organized this together, and Lucifel's in charge of the kitchen. The particulars of threads are sort of glossy (by virtue of there are so many and also a few go to nsfw i think) so it does cut off after a certain point before the Live ends, but for the most part, everyone can pick up the nervous excitement that Lucifel feels when he's cooking in the kitchen, and the busy busy busy Live has him mentally tired (not physically tired, of course)—but content, happy for the success. Seeing people eating the food everyone helped make has his heart warm with joy and pride.
The background ambiance of hatred, of anger and bitterness, still persists, but the more busy he is, the less time he has to dwell on it.
(Still—occasionally, and especially when he can feel the heat of the oven, smell the scent of smoke, or feel the handle of the knife, that lake of rage trembles, like something's stirring underneath the surface. Sometimes in conversation, he doesn't feel quite there—even in his happiest moments, it feels as though part of him is floating, like he's running on sleep deprivation or not fully in touch with reality.
He has disdain for actually eating, but he does try out his own creations as a taste test; he doesn't register much of the taste beyond clinical judgment, but a few times it's like the taste hits him in a palpable way—a reminder that he's alive, to be able to taste this—and, keenly aware of his own life, there's a heavy sadness that could make one cry.
But it doesn't happen—it can't happen. Today is too big of a day, after all, and he's too busy to dwell on it. The lake tempers, but throughout the day, his body feels heavy—like he'd sink into the earth if he didn't stop moving.) ]

It follows the journey of a small resistance taking up arms against the God of Storms, a tyrant who keeps them all trapped within his tower by a raging whirlwind, never allowing them to so much as see the sky. A young bard stands at the center of it, looking nearly identical to Venti -- but, wait, the memory isn't from his point of view . . . ?

The memory cuts off as the God of Storms is toppled, showing nothing of the aftermath. Despite what appears to be victory, the tone is simply grief and bitterness and enough survivor's guilt to bring down the Game Tower.

which is to say—this is a dream. it feels like a dream, insofar as the gruesome details feel vague and there's a certain sense that this is a memory of the past, rather than a fresh experience. even from the very beginning of the dream, there's that lake of hatred—but in this dream it is beyond a lake; instead, it's a geyser, spewing familiar hatred and pain. you could suffocate in that grief.
but it is just a memory, in a dream no less. you've long since moved on from the shock, and all you have now is the future; your burning anger is a cold flame.
funnily once the memory fades that cold bitterness and anger doesn't disappear, though it does abate after some few moments—more fresh and present are emotions of concern, worry, an anxious sort of anticipation. ]

Anyway... before I disappeared off of Taisho, my heart was feeling heavy. I love and adore Taisho. So please don't think otherwise. But we were always fighting on the unit about play style and because none of our viewpoints aligned all that well.
People kept leaving... Fox-kun graduated and others were dragged off the program and shuffled elsewhere. And things were really bad after that hotel.
It felt like... no matter what I did, it would all amount to nothing in the end. Someone tried to teach me that lesson once. And it felt like those words lodged themselves in my mind and refused to leave.
. . . I was tired of my world upending over and over again. It feels like whatever I touch disintegrates in my hands. Human lives and others are so fragile.... I can reach out and like dust everyone scatters. Inevitably, everyone disappears and I'm alone again.
And so, if everyone was just going to disappear anyway, I thought I would do it my way. I thought if I visited that woman... I could somehow bargain myself in order to eject the people I love out of this production and back home. That I could do at least something. And if it didn't work, it wouldn't matter anyway, since I already ended my life back home.
So I found the tallest building I could find, away from everyone here. I figured that jumping would be painless.
[ She hugs herself tight. ]
But in the end, it turned out that someone had followed after me. Dva-san tried to talk me out of things and while I tried to get her to just leave and let me do something, that didn't work. Ultimately, I stupidly stumbled while at the ledge after I agreed that I wouldn't, but she ended up catching me with her unit abilities.
So all's well that ends well...? Aha...
