COOKING SHOW EVENT - WILD CITY
[ Hm, what's this?
Whatever you were doing before, you're sent to the Game Tower now. It looks like you're the only ones here, though—?
Everyone who shows up is given a unit-themed cooking apron before being ushered onto a circular stage that divides itself into twelve sections—each section is a kitchen for the corresponding unit, though only WILD CITY's is lit up.
The center is the judging table, though there aren't any hosts there. Instead, there is what looks to be a disco ball with a number of people with imeeji idol merchandise and signs—are they fans? Some of them are holding signs like "WILD ♥ LOVE" or otherwise drawn pictures of your respective theme animals. Their merchandise are easier to parse than their faces—if you concentrate they might be distinct for just a moment, but they'll fade into the recesses of your mind as soon as you look away, even if you've got a photographic memory. These are . . . fans? The fans are the judges, maybe?
That feels a little weird, doesn't it? To finally see their faces—not really, given how you can't concentrate, but—
Oh. Maybe you didn't expect to feel that way. No—is this feeling really yours. . . ?
You'll find, as soon as another member of your unit enters the stage, a strange sense of something filling your mind—like there's someone else with you, sharing that same space with you. You can't read their thoughts, not quite, but—their emotions? You can feel every single one of them.
You might try to shut the emotions out, but it's impossible to shut them out for long—the more you try, the less effective it becomes and the more sensitive you become, as though they were well and truly your feelings.
. . . And you're supposed to cook like this? ]

INFORMATION & RECIPE
Today, you are making Decadent Banana Snacks! You will need the following ingredients:
Total Required (not including optional):
On the tables are pebble-sized crystals. Hold a handful of the crystals and share your memory (through talking or memoryshare candies) and the crystals will turn into that food!
Characters are aware that the cooking process will be done with guidance, so all they need to worry about are the ingredients. Tasteless ingredients such as flour and cornstarch will be provided for them, so those ingredients are not listed.
There are no rounds, nor any discussion headers. Please make a toplevel with every new memory/memory discussion. At 4 hours, please turn into the comment below.
TURN-IN - DUE @ THURSDAY 8/19
# of candies consumed:
For every unitmate, please give a 1-3 for how much they learned about them/how much they were affected by this new knowledge, with 1 being a little/unsurprising and 3 being a lot/shocking:
MINGLE/DISCUSSION
Though you can technically turn the stove on, you can't actually hurt yourself on it. It's like the flames are illusions. Huh.
Please make new toplevels for memory sharing so people can find them easily! ]

It's true. Gotta love how low the bar has been set though. Plus games like this tend to be...exhausting.

[Look came back finally.]
Re: MINGLE/DISCUSSION
Welcome back, by the way. They didn't treat you too poorly off show?
Re: MINGLE/DISCUSSION
[Oh]
[Ooooooh]
[Excuse that]
[Momentary burst of panic.]
H-haha, what? Yeah, no, no, they treated me fine. Pretty hot, but I could deal with that. Maybe we should focus on the food.
[As he pushes down that panic because empathy bonds are A Whole Ass Thing.]

adrenaline/fear
[It honestly probably explains so much about Rye. The memory starts and he's younger, so very obviously with how small he is. He's in the air on the back of Toothless, a dragon seen in either memories, or sometimes on his things, or randomly drawn on any unoccupied piece of paper in the dorm. Its clear they're testing out the fake tail he's made, seeing if it works, its all so careful and meticulous, with a reference sheet and everything.]
[There's a few mishaps, scraping a few rocks, but there's excitement because they're not falling, they're flying and its an amazing feeling. They're climbing higher and higher, far above the mountain and into the clouds.]
[Then the sheet is caught in the wind, there is a burst of fear as Hiccup tries to catch it, accidentally telling Toothless to stop, but Hiccup DOESN'T, momentum taking him off the saddle.]
[And they begin to fall.]
[There is panic, there is fear, both trying to get to each other again, Toothless unable to get control without the tailfin, and they're plummeting closer and closer before Hiccup is finally able to pull himself back into the saddle and get control of the tailfin, but by then, they're at terminal velocity. They're trying to stop, managing to avoid crashing into the ground, redirecting over treetops but they still need to kill speed-]
[And they're rocketing down directly for sea stacks.]
[And there's a moment, Hiccup is full of doubt, of fear, looking between the sheet and the stacks. He can't do this, he can't do this, he can't do this-]
[But he either does or they die.]
[And the whirling anxious thoughts that had been boiling even with the excitement and joy, the self doubts and fears-]
[He let's them go with the sheet.]
[He leans forward, and Toothless feels the shift in Hiccup, and they can't stop, the only way was through, and they both know it.]
[Thought is no longer a factor, running on instinct, from hours upon hours of studying Toothless, of making the rigging, of a natural talent to read the subtle movements in his partner to realize what Toothless needs from him, darting and spinning past rock after rock after rock, getting close, but never once grazing stone.]
[Until they finally get out the other side, and there is adrenaline and fear and absolute elation thrumming through them.]
[He can't even care that much Toothless flew them through a fireball in his own excitement. What's a little singeing in the face of the intensity of the last two minutes.]
Re: adrenaline/fear
First official flight together? A bit rocky at the start, sure, but that was incredible.
Re: adrenaline/fear
Ha, knew odds were good for a dragon flight. It was incredible. I hadn't felt anything even close to that before. He was amazing.

[Thrill of a battle is still a weird thing, but family dere is still the best.]
Different seeing it from that perspective. [Since saw weapons before.]
Re: happiness/excitement.
Right! It's truly something else. [ he misses his weapons! ]
