COOKING SHOW EVENT - WILD CITY

[ Hm, what's this?

Whatever you were doing before, you're sent to the Game Tower now. It looks like you're the only ones here, though—?

Everyone who shows up is given a unit-themed cooking apron before being ushered onto a circular stage that divides itself into twelve sections—each section is a kitchen for the corresponding unit, though only WILD CITY's is lit up.

The center is the judging table, though there aren't any hosts there. Instead, there is what looks to be a disco ball with a number of people with imeeji idol merchandise and signs—are they fans? Some of them are holding signs like "WILD ♥ LOVE" or otherwise drawn pictures of your respective theme animals. Their merchandise are easier to parse than their faces—if you concentrate they might be distinct for just a moment, but they'll fade into the recesses of your mind as soon as you look away, even if you've got a photographic memory. These are . . . fans? The fans are the judges, maybe?

That feels a little weird, doesn't it? To finally see their faces—not really, given how you can't concentrate, but—

Oh. Maybe you didn't expect to feel that way. No—is this feeling really yours. . . ?

You'll find, as soon as another member of your unit enters the stage, a strange sense of something filling your mind—like there's someone else with you, sharing that same space with you. You can't read their thoughts, not quite, but—their emotions? You can feel every single one of them.

You might try to shut the emotions out, but it's impossible to shut them out for long—the more you try, the less effective it becomes and the more sensitive you become, as though they were well and truly your feelings.

. . . And you're supposed to cook like this? ]

[ Your unit-colored kitchen has all the basic necessities for cooking, but strangely, there's no refrigerator. There's just a table full of pebble-sized crystals. . . There are candies available in bins next to the crystals as well.

Though you can technically turn the stove on, you can't actually hurt yourself on it. It's like the flames are illusions. Huh.

Please make new toplevels for memory sharing so people can find them easily! ]

Well, this is new.

...at least we don't have to make out with or murder anybody. [ he likes cooking! but he's not sure how he feels about feelings cooking. seems sus. ]

It's true. Gotta love how low the bar has been set though. Plus games like this tend to be...exhausting.

I don't doubt it... [ hums, reading over the recipe. ] We could probably just sit here until the game ends if you're not interested in this sort of thing. [ ruffles his hair and snickers. ] Or we can work together and make the best dish ever... probably.

My memories aren't so bad. You guys will just probably be sick of sports by the end of it.

Or maybe I’ll learn to become so good at sports I’ll kick your butt.

H-haha, what? Yeah, no, no, they treated me fine. Pretty hot, but I could deal with that. Maybe we should focus on the food.

[As he pushes down that panic because empathy bonds are A Whole Ass Thing.]

The food is probably not actually the focus of this game.

Yep. No feelings at all. [Flat and dry with some sardonic bemusement.]

[But those are easy feelings to latch onto, to quell his panic.]

....though it has been a while sibce we played together.

Rye! Hey there. [ clamps a hand over his shoulder and offers him a smile. ] Hope the other show treated you well.

[ …what is that feeling rye? ]

They need to understand how much water you need to drink when working in a forge and needed more interesting projects, but fine otherwise.

[That is-]

[Not....his.]

[Excuse the sudden, kneejerk Panic feeling at that.]

[ childe is calm at the moment, emotion share aside, though a bit of concern seeps into the bond since rye is freaking out. ]

At least you're back with us, and just in time for a ~fun game.

[He is doing his best to get a handle on it.]

[Emotion shares are just A Lot and he is trying to not make it worse.]

A-ah, yeah. Yeah! Just cooking with the team. Which is good. Just good things. [And no reason to freak out.]

[If he's fine, then Emotion Share Is Fine, he just needs to center himself.]

Just have a fun time with my team. [And there's definitely a desire for fun and annoyance and frustration at himself for being like this.]

[ childe reaches out and takes his arm, offering a comforting smile as he ooze out a couple of calming pheromones. ] Just a little cooking with memories. It's not that bad. I bet we'll be able to make something delicious.

I know this sort of thing can be... a bit much, [ his smile falters as he laughs. ] but at least you're here with us, yeah? We'll take care of you.

[Arm grab is surprisingly effective at soothing his nerves? Surorising to him ~~since it takes a bit to realize pheromones.~~] A-ah.... [Panic fading now.]

Memories aren't so bad. Especially with my team. [There is a sincere fondness.]

[And an underlying anxiety, but pheromones and own mental willpower are keeping that down.]

Been a while since I played with Silver especially. It'd be nice to have a good game.

…yeah. It might be a bit unnerving because of the emotional bond we all share now, but rest assured no one is going to take advantage of it here.
