Your character wakes up in a room that smells strongly of disinfectant, having apparently fallen asleep on a hospital cot. A curtain grants them some privacy from the rest of the room, but upon drawing it to the side, they’ll find the room consists only of row after row of cots crammed into the room, each able to be curtained off but only just, allowing for narrow walkways between each bed. No other bed appears to be occupied - any other player character currently occupying this room is in their own version of it.
However, upon waking up, they realize - despite being revived, their body is completely paralyzed from the neck down. There’s no one else in the room, and no indication of whether or not they’ll be freed from the total lack of sensation. Or at least...
None other than a quiet, almost-voice that seems to whisper directly into their mind. They could be freed right away if they wished for it. None of that was their fault - someone else already lived with the consequences. Why should they?
Will they take freedom now? Or simply hope that one day, they’ll move again?
It’s easy to wonder just how long it’s been or how long it will be. There isn’t even sound to indicate anyone else is around, or ever will be. Truly, they’re simply trapped within their own mind, within this room, without anyone else to find them.
...Until, quite suddenly, sensation returns to their body like nothing had ever happened. All limbs work just as well as they did before, and they’ll have no trouble moving as usual.
They’re free to leave whenever they choose, though the door will shut and lock firmly behind them once they do so.
[It smells of disinfectant, but there doesn't seem to be any cabinet of cleaning supplies here, either. I'm sorry your quest continues to be fruitless.]
... Yeah, I see. Wake up like it never even happened.
[ GETS IT, is used to it, is moving on quickly. will exit the room again but won't stop to chat with Izanagi this time, obviously sleep > talking to him.
someone still has to check out the other store? time to start the journey again! ]
