...the ghosts that you talked to, did you know them before? [ or did he meet them once they had already died and haunted the place. ]

The only ghost I remember so far was a goat.

[A beat, and then another]

We were in a kitchen. We opened up the door to the fridge, and there was a goat head inside. Then we closed the door, and the goat showed up.

I'm guessing it had been... his head then? [ because why else would he randomly appear after it was found. ]

Yeah. The head was floating a little above the body, when the ghost showed up.

…huh, it’s pretty interesting that you can see ghosts. I wonder if you’d be able to pick up on all the spirits caught in the ley lines back home. I’ve heard that memories can be projected through them, and sometimes, if the strength of the spirit is strong enough, they can actually hold a conversation in real time. [ he’s never experienced it himself, but he’s heard things. ]

Ley Lines are a network of elemental energy and memories of everything that has lived in the world, both on the surface and down to the Abyss...

So the ghosts where you're from stay in those areas?

Not permanently. But you can certainly come across some. It can be a bit jarring... since they're not going to know you're from the future. It's like memories replaying, their own, so you can get more insight to certain things.
