[another agility roll (2 2 6) carries Mars through a second dodge, accomplished by another backhand spring right over Man Eater's leg, because he just has to show off, doesn't he? another strength roll (1 3 4) means this time Mars pops up from his crouch and immediately attempts to slice at Man Eater upwards with his blade, for 9 damage (5, +3, +2) if it hits]
[ an agility roll (1 5 6) says he leans back out of the path of the sword, bending back with an almost elastic flexibility, nearly matching the angle of the sword, and with strength roll (1 2 6) he attempts to slam Mars in the gut with leg as he pops up from below, for 6 potential damage ]
[oof-- that's too up close and personal to dodge, so Mars attempts to lift his arms to defend instead. but with a failed strength roll (3 5 6) he's taking the kick straight to the gut, heels digging into the ground as it pushes him back and the vibrations course through his armor. 5 damage, minus one for being henshined up]

Man☆Eater catches himself just as he starts falling down the foxhole with Verticality (negates all fall damage), and continues rising up and up into the air until he's out of short-distance range altogether ]
