The book is completely written in, from front to back, with a long list of names and pictures—presumably portraits belonging to the names—though the current page it's open to is unreadable now on account of the blood spilt all over it. At least you can read the page number: 201. ]

Rather, not just the members of your unit—there are people in this portrait that you may not recognize, but everyone is wearing your unit's fashion, so you can safely assume they're all past members. It's a lovely painting, all things considered, but maybe this setting is not the most lovely place you could be seeing it in. ]
