BASEMENT LANDING

You enter the Basement Landing.

There's not much here except … coal. Piles upon piles upon piles of coal, the floor caked in a thick coating of ash and soot. It's spectacularly filthy.

There are doors to the North, South, and West, and … a set of closed elevator doors? to the East.

Hmm... a lot of doors. Should we go look around together, or split up? [ you can probably count on her not to destroy stuff without asking first at this point, but it's a risk! ]

I think we're probably safer going together. Who knows if there's more bats or other nasty things in this place. The question really is which door do we try. Any preferences?

[ She goes to the middle of the room and spins around a few times, ending up facing the North door. She points, not unlike a bloodhound directing its Master -- but, like, smiley instead of all business. ]

That one! [ And proceeding to the North door to try and open it. ]
