But why should he have memories at all, when...
[ she hesitates; seems to come to some decision ] ...the rest of us do not.
We have the look of soldiers about us, in an exotic sort of way. I think this style is sometimes seen in the Western islands, and in parts of the North. But if indeed these are uniforms, then we do not seem to be in the same army. We do not even wear the same colors.
[ a beat ] And what sort of army sends youths to fight?
