Mori's heart
All at once a rainbow of bright lights feels as if it is bursting through you. It is an intense experience, but not an unpleasant one. As the colours burn through your skin, and lighting begins to spark through your veins, you feel stronger, you could take on the world right now.
Faintly in the distance, beyond the iridescent light show that overwhelms your vision, you can just about make out some silhouettes, but they’re too blurred, too indistinct and too far to tell anything about them. You can’t see them, but you know they’re welcoming you. You’re wanted here, you’re needed here, and the light is guiding you where you’re meant to go.

"Not good enough, not good enough, can't you do any better kid? Don't come running into the big leagues if you can't put up."

His free hand drops to his belt, fumbling wildly in what looks like panic for anything he can use, eyes wide and frantic as he can manage to appear behind his mask. ]
Don't— Don't underestimate me!

"Ghk- little brat, you've got some bite, huh!"
Unfortunately he still has one hand, and though he doesn't have a knife, is going to try and cripple Talon's arm right back, slamming a strength enhanced fist into it hard enough to shatter bone.

[Just straight up clocking this guy in the back of the head, here, hoping to make him let go of Talon.]
no subject
It may not move him out of range fast enough to avoid that fist, but the change in position changes it from a direct hit to a glancing (and still quite painful) blow. ]

Dude. What the hell? Did you do all this?
no subject
If you're asking about all the downed trees, yeah. I got a good look at the path of destruction he left.
no subject
But he just keeps laughing.
His exposed muscles flare up, it seems like they don't just enhance his strength but also provide him with some protection, so while the kick to the temple hurts like hell it doesn't take him down, and he's able to reach back and drag Hurricane off of him to stand. He's going to throw Hurricane at Talon.
"Hahaha! I did more than just that brats, but it's not enough. I wanna rage more! I want to see more blood! I'm not letting you take me down like that, I'm nowhere near satisfied."

[He twists around mid-air, until he's just hovering.]
Uh huh. Laugh it up, dude, cause you only got like five more seconds thinking it's funny.
Newsflash: you can't always have what you want.

[ He settles into a fighting crouch, tensed to dodge in whatever direction he needs and switching his knife to his good hand. ]
Target his joints. Crippling will be more successful than trying to take him down through force.

"Ha! That's expecting a lot from another kid who's not even a hero. Do you really think he can manage it?"

[It's still a set of blades similar to katars, but slightly longer - sharp and sci-fi sleek. They aren't quite the same as they used to be, though; the color seems odd, a muted matte grey. They look like someone printed a picture of a carbon steel weapon on newspaper, then ran it through the wash a few times. The blades are riddled with hairline fractures.]
[Target the joints, Talon said. Well, that he can do. And by target the joints, he sure is darting forward in the air, trying to ram a couple of blades through the back of this guy's knees while he's busy gloating.]

[ He springs straight up several feet in the air, easily over the head of an average adult, tucking his legs tightly beneath him to try to leap over the swing of Muscular's punch. Or, rather, trying to land directly ON his arm, lashing out at Muscular's eyes with his good fist (with the blade carefully held away since he's not really looking to do permanent damage there). ]
Should've told you sooner: I'm already a hero!
no subject
Despite how much force, and how much hatred Hurricane puts behind it, he can't slice through the protective muscles. Hurricane can't do physical damage to him, but somehow the villain feels the pain anyway and yelps, stumbling, which may make Talon's position on his arm unstable but he still manages to land a good clean blow. He may not be aiming for permanent damage, but it still hurts, and it knocks the prosthetic eye already there right out of Muscular. Gross.
Talon had better move fast though, because at this close range, it's going to be very hard to dodge Muscular grabbing for his throat.

[That's - probably nothing good. Hurricane even thinks he knows why it's nothing good. He can - he can worry about that later
he is definitely going to worry about that later, but for now at least it seems to be hurting him, and that's not nothing.][Since the blade isn't cutting, he changes the angle - comes in with the flat of the weapon instead, and slams it down hard on the elbow of the arm rushing toward Talon, trying to break the bone.]
no subject
[ He's in the middle of trying to drive an elbow into Muscular's throat when the big guy grabs for him. In light of that, it's not very likely that Talon's attack was particularly effective whether or not Hurricane manages to break that arm. ]
no subject
"Oi, kid, sit quietly, I'll kill you in a minute!"
no subject
[He throws himself backward to try and avoid the blow - hits the ground, briefly, touching down one-handed to flip to what would usually be his feet, but in this particular instance is back up into the air.]
[When he's hovering again, he slashes out with the blade, toward the tendons in the wrist that's holding Talon.]
no subject
[ He slashes blindly across Muscular's knuckles, probably cutting himself in the process, but it'll be worth it if it means he can get free. ]
no subject
Muscular can't bring up his other hand to block Hurricane, Talon already took it out, and he can't stop Talon from slashing his hand, there's no way he's keeping his hold, but what he can do is drop him and try to stamp on him while sweeping his injured arm out at Hurricane like he's swatting a fly.
These actions would be more effective if Talon had not also blinded him, you two have advantage on dodging.
no subject
[A second later, he's taking a swing with both blades at once - one at the wrist, aiming to break the bone, and the other at the temple, going for a concussion.]
no subject
He sheathes the knife again and reaches for the 2nd of his grappling guns, waiting for a moment when Hurricane's out of the line of fire to shoot it at the nearest of Muscular's legs. He doesn't even wait to recall the line this time, hoping to get a two-for-one hit in when it retracts. ]
