Mori's heart

All at once a rainbow of bright lights feels as if it is bursting through you. It is an intense experience, but not an unpleasant one. As the colours burn through your skin, and lighting begins to spark through your veins, you feel stronger, you could take on the world right now.

Faintly in the distance, beyond the iridescent light show that overwhelms your vision, you can just about make out some silhouettes, but they’re too blurred, too indistinct and too far to tell anything about them. You can’t see them, but you know they’re welcoming you. You’re wanted here, you’re needed here, and the light is guiding you where you’re meant to go.

He turns sharply, looking at B over his shoulder.

"What are you doing here?"

Standing on the roof with concern. More or less.

Also I thought I could handle anything so hubris came for me.

Mori turns away and shrugs.

"You don't need to be here if you can't handle it."

I can't leave you just sitting there like that though.

Oh! My god!! His shoulders shake when B says that.

"Yeah. Yeah, that's the line alright. But you really don't need to try that hard for something like me. If you want to talk to Mori, there's a lot more nicer ones downstairs."

[...slips off his own shoes, goes and sits with his back to the rail]

This is the Mori is one I understand a lot though.

He jumps, horrified at seeing B pull his shoes off.

"What are you doing?! Aren't you scared of heights, get out of here!"

[reaches up a hand

His face is red and he is ANGRY. Shoving his hand at B!!

"This is stupid - it'd be easier to just leave!"

[GRABS HAND holds tight. so tight]

What the fuck!! What is he supposed to do here, looks terrified and completely lost fuck fuck what do.

"I-I'm not! I'm not doing anything to be thanked for, calm down, it wouldn't be giving up! You don't have to put yourself through scary things!"

It'd be less scary if you came and sat with me down here.

"F, Fine, I'll sit with you, so stop worrying."

It's kind of an awkward fumble as he climbs down off the railing without letting go of B's hand but he is DETERMINED and off he goes, sitting down next to B.

"Better?"

Yeah.

[now holds onto his hand with both hands]

Sorry. I've been pretty numb lately so. This has been jolting. But maybe a jolt I needed. That's why I said thank you.

He's feeling terrified himself, he has no idea what to do here.

He says it firmly, but when it comes time to talk about himself, he gets awkward and stammers again.

"It's just... It's the only place I can be. All the bad feelings that don't help anything..."

I think it's important to have a place for this to all live. But.

You don't have to live next to it. If that makes sense.

...there's something Silver did for me that helped me a lot. Can I do it for you?

He's unsure but. If it's B it's fine.

[pulls out his posca pen, turns over Mori's hand

draws a little cat on the inside of his wrist. and then adds a like >D gremlin-y thing next to it]

"Oh..."

Stares down at the kitty and gremlin, touched.
