[ You have fallen onto a noisy street. After all the cold, the silence, the cacophony of city sounds blankets your ears muffles that feeling of abandonment. The street is dirty, and neon all around you advertises: Gambling! Fight pits! Come get your money's worth, restaurants, bars. They demand attention, and you could walk into any one of them.
Or, you might notice the alley ways before you enter. On the ground there's bodies: chalk outlines around those twisted at strange angles. Like crime scene photos, but you know how you got here. And if you look at the bodies too long, you can see the echo: shadows that are pale rather than darker, of missing wings upon their back.
The crowds on the street take no notice of you, or those bodies. ]

Re: A Bar
[Notices the gesture, walking closer and taking over the gun]
Aries, is there anything I should ask him? Go ahead and type it out on your phone.
Re: A Bar
I can tell you that if you wanna use that gun, it's not gonna point the way you want it.
[ That's probably not what you wanted to hear, huh ]
Re: A Bar
"Don't need a gun, there's a hundred ways to kill you."
[it would probably sound cooler if he didn't have a tongue, but instead it sounds like a bunch of indecipherable garbled nonsense
anyway he takes out his phone and starts to type]
Re: A Bar
[Waiting for Aries to hand him the phone]
Re: A Bar
[ no TV stations, it sounds like ]
Re: A Bar
i get that it seems pointless to talk to liars. but we aren't
can you cast a truth spell?]
Re: A Bar
Re: A Bar
[ Of all the insults! Geeze!!
He's ignoring Silver, because answering liars who have convinced themselves they're human is stupid and a waste of extremely painful breath. ]
Re: A Bar
help or die
which?
Re: A Bar
[ ROLLS HIS EYES. ]
You give me a single falsehood, and I don't care how you've stopped up your tongue, that shit is gonna finish bleeding you out.
Re: A Bar
tell him where we're from and how
find out who runs show
pretty sure our enemy is same
this he shows to Silver]
Re: A Bar
We're from a show where we have to compete in games and stuff, since you don't watch TV, you probably haven't seen it. We came through a crack that appeared in the sky and went through a bunch of gates. We climbed a staricase and jumped down a ledged a long ass way to get here.
We want to find out who runs the show we're on. Aries says our enemy is probably the same.
Re: A Bar
But if any of that is true
Honestly.
He takes a moment, and intones: ]
Lord Asmodeus.
[ his voice reverberates more than it should— not that it's louder, but you can feel that name penetrate through you, soaking the walls of the bar, and spreading outward. Like the bass of someone's car that you feel more than hear in the distance, the call goes out like signal.
Calling, Lord Asmodeus. ]
Re: A Bar
but it's been done now, so jumps to his feet, looking around, alarmed]
Re: A Bar
[Turning the guy into a bug and grabbing Aries sleeve]
Re: A Bar
Because and then, there is a man in a glass-cut suit. He isn't precisely standing in the bathroom, you get more the sense of him looking at it through a pane of glass. Remote viewing, but you can see the reflection of it. He takes quick stock of the situation: the demon formerly trussed up on the ground and now a bug, Aries and Silver, and then he turns his head and, heedless of the walls, spots the other missing Wild City members.
He snaps his fingers.
And you are all in this room. Asmodeus is standing and he says: ]
Take your seats.
[ And regardless of your opinion about the matter, you do. ]
Re: A Bar
Re: A Bar
can i sit on the bug?? fuck this asshole]
Re: A Bar
And no you're now in this room, excuse my poor linking earlier. ]
Re: A Bar
He wisely keeps his mouth shut though, sitting and glancing nervously at the rest of Wild City. ]
Re: A Bar
Re: A Bar
Ooh ah haih! (You're the guy!)
Re: A Bar
Asmodeus pours himself a glass of the liquor he has at the center of the mirror laying on the ottoman, and then places it down untouched in front of Aries. Sitting back on a chair, he says: ]
Well. I expect you have a story to tell.
I imagine you'd tell it better with a tongue.
[ He gestures towards the glass. ]
