Castle Game: LiliS
[Suddenly, you hear the wailing of a horn. Outside, tension is turning to panic. You can't see anything, but you can hear people gathering up their things, sobbing in fear or speaking in harsh whispers. A lone voice calls from the distance:
The enemy approaches!
Upon the map, an unfamiliar geography appears -- several small nations, clustered together. Outside of them, an endless sea of enemy forces, identified only by a symbol of a cracked skull. Each of the small nations is marked with a flag in one unit's colour, and a tiny model of a castle.
You are at war. How will you protect your people and yourself?]

Re: DISCUSSION
If we can protect avante, I would do so.
[ a pause, and she drags a hand through her hair ] Gods, Wednesday and Cobalt...
[ but it is what it is. this is a war. ] If you're asking for productive thefts, though, I am inclined to target ZRAEL.
Re: DISCUSSION
Re: DISCUSSION
....You'll have to be more specific than just the one idiot. Do you refer to Doodle, or to Maki?
As for avante, I have spoken with them too strongly of the possibility of some kind of secondary alliance with us to feel a theft from them is appropriate if we can possibly avoid it.
Re: DISCUSSION
[. . . considering her]
Do you want this? You can have this.
Re: DISCUSSION
[ a deep sigh, though she doesn't look away ]
I cared about avante before Cardigan and I began... whatever it is that we are to each other, now.
If it came to it, I would kill them to protect LiliS, but... yes, I want "this." To not target them short of a last resort.
Re: DISCUSSION
Forget that I asked.
Re: DISCUSSION
...Not if I answered an entirely different question.
I'd rather know what you mean.
Re: DISCUSSION
Re: DISCUSSION
I'm ill-suited as a foot soldier, but I still support your stepping forward.
I think we ought to let them argue down the aggression, if it's what they want, but we can set them up with a sort of... permission, by opening with it.
Re: DISCUSSION
[said with spite but also ... it's true too?? getting some bourbon to gulp down between this round and next]
Re: DISCUSSION
I can and will handle this, if you don't actually want it.
But otherwise, you can rely on me to support you. They can blame us both.
Re: DISCUSSION
[offering??? his water bottle of bourbon? want a drink?
Re: DISCUSSION
We'll see.
[ passing it back over ]
